Re: Hasbro 1/6 scale Assault Walker w/ Riot Control Stormtrooper
I was lookng at this in my local Supermarket the other day , wondering if it was worth picking it up . Looks like it is ! As for the figure , in your opinion , would it be possible to carve up the armour pieces to be used on...
I still have my unfinished version on the back burner , (unfinished due to my "loss of mojo" , rather than any problem with the plans/build) and can confirm the quality of the plans produced by Fia2k9 . Highly recommended and I hope to get back to mine soon .
Wow ! Love the work on "Purple Guy " . The vest and coat are outstanding , fits into the "Star Wars Universe" perfectly and I'm sure you could sell stuff as good as that with no problem . Top class .:clap
I've posted pics of this figure before , ( but as it was a while back , I hope I'll be forgiven ) but I think it fits in with the theme of this thread . He's disgraced Special Ops Commander Ola , of the 32nd B.A.D.D ( boarding and demolitions division ) . Framed for the destruction of the top...
As I said , I'm not exactly set on a seamless body , but was more curious than anything ! I do like the look of the other one and as I actually need two of the females , I may go for that one . Thanks for the heads up .
Has anyone used the bodies produced by Coomodel and Kumik ? I'm thinking of picking up a Coomodel "Standard Height Muscle Body" and a Kumik "Female Seamless Muscular Body" V2.0 for a couple of customs I'm planning . They seem reasonably priced and as I'm looking to up-grade a number of my older...
Re: BIG GUY Playground. Pg 14 New Updates
Some great work going on there Big Guy , especially like the Halo stuff . My Spartan's been on the back-burner for too long . Maybe it's time to get back in the saddle .
Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs
You could use a section of plastic tubing to add length to the mount inside the helmet or failing that , fill the interior of the mount with Blu Tac or something similar , I did this with the Sideshow Stormtrooper to improve the look of the helmet .
Done some work on the boarding ladder . This is the second version , the first ended up looking like a set of step-ladders !
Once the paint is dry , I'll mount it to the lower wing . It'll then swing under the wing and be held in place with a magnet .
Got my base colour on the ISTAP and after a good 24 hours drying time started with the weathering process . First of all I gave the whole thing a rub down with a worn sanding pad to roughen up the surface a little as the paint ( being car paint ) was pretty glossy . I mixed up a pastel chalk...
Works been slow on the ISTAP the last couple of weeks as the small matter of my car being written off in a collision has taken up all of my spare time ! Anyhow , I got a little work done , mainly adding some detail to the "head" section with styrene strip , as well as the "intakes" of the...
No , the plate with the holes is the area that the next bunch of work will be taking place . The top part will ultimately sit lower than it is in the photos and some of the holes will remain , but others will be further cut away into "slots" and details will be added ( hopefully) to reflect that...
