InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I had the same experience. Seems like the hands not fitting is a common issue. The magnets fell out of the hands of mine as well. I'm not fussed about putting them back in as I don't really think they did anything. The friction of the peg in the hand is what really keeps them in place. I was...

New here, how do I start looking for help

This forum is mainly for sixth scale figures. McFarlane is not a popular topic here. I think forums like TheFwoosh are more for smaller scale figures.

1/6 Hot Toys - POTC5 - Jack Sparrow Figure (Artisan Edition + Regular) Collectible Figure

I still remember getting the first MMS Jack Sparrow. It came out at the same time as the Sideshow Farmboy Luke. I think Luke was $65 and Jack was $120. And Jack was just leagues away. Jack was super tall and out of scale because of the plastic boots. The ankle joints pegged into the boots, so...

1/6 Hot Toys - POTC5 - Jack Sparrow Figure (Artisan Edition + Regular) Collectible Figure

I was happy to get the Artisan version even if it's not that much of an upgrade over the Deluxe. I'm a fan of the characters and it's nice to have what feels like the 'ultimate' version of Jack. With the first DX version, I'll have enough parts and pieces to have everything I need.

Hot Toys DX15 Captain Jack Sparrow (Dead Men Tell No Tales)

Yeah, I don't have the Wonder Woman figure, but I'm guessing it's nylon hair. Anything that's actually rooted, where you can see the punch holes, that's going to be nylon hair. The new figures, like Gandalf, and the Artisan figures, where it's glued in, that's probably lamb's wool, or yak hair...

Hot Toys DX15 Captain Jack Sparrow (Dead Men Tell No Tales)

Where did you read that it's horse hair? I've never heard of such a thing. Most rooted hair heads use nylon hair. It's essentially very fine strands of plastic. You can style it by heating it up, but it will melt if you get it too hot.

    TMNT (teenage mutant ninja turtles)

This might be of interest to people in this thread https://bottleneckgallery.com/blogs/news/bng-x-ish-tmnt-firsts-the-pitch-turtle-resin-bronze-statues-on-sale-info Though it's more of an 'art' thing than an action figure.

I would reconsider having them repair it. I think it's actually pretty cool that you can send it back to them and have them fix it. It's sort of like having a master artisan fix up your old shoes. I see it as a very valuable customer service feature to be able to send it back like that, with...

    1/6 Hot Toys - HONŌ STUDIO | X-Men - Magneto Action Figure

It's weird how Sideshow and Hono both tried to do the lines on the torso, but it's going in the wrong direction. Sideshow's flare out from the center of the chest. Hono's taper in from the shoulders. But Jim Lee drew it with them starting from the center of the chest, and wrapping down towards...

Just realized mine is like this too. It fell off when I inspected it, but didn't get to a more thorough overview until now. I heated it up, to soften the plastic, as that usually fixes these kinds of fitting issues, but no dice.

The Blu-Ray Upcoming, News & Info Thread

I haven't seen them yet, but I remember watching the semi-recent 4k of T2 and noticed the 'waxy' look. It didn't bother me really, but I noticed it. I'd read that the enhancement there was cranked too high, so that's why I was interested in seeing it. It's a very mixed bag for me when they...

    1/6 Hot Toys - HONŌ STUDIO | X-Men - Magneto Action Figure

Gosh, after this many attempts at a comic Magneto, I'm gonna have to come to grips with the fact that some things just don't translate. Well, that's not really true, they just needed to give him a more muscular body. You need those big, broad shoulders to make that ring around his neck look...

I ordered in January 2023 as well, and got mine a few weeks ago. But I'd think you'd at least get an arrival notice from Kit asking for the balance payment by now. Probably should check in. Maybe the email from Kit went to your spam folder.

Shouldn't this thread be locked? There's no figures to discuss, they haven't even been announced yet. We have people posting their Last of Us customs, which are off-topic for this thread. There's literally nothing to discuss relevant to the topic of the thread. If you want to complain about...

1/6 Hot Toys -TMS125 - Ahsoka series: Baylan Skoll

The one thing I find very interesting about Hot Toys figures, is that it's really the best look we get at these characters. You rarely get to see the full picture when you're watching these characters on screen. I always smile when I see people use a Hot Toys figure as a reference pic, in lieu...
