Hot Toys THE BATMAN -1/6 Batman / Batman deluxe / Batman + batsignal set

Keep checking eBay. I got an extra drape cape version last week there for $25. I saw one the week before for around $35. I’m sure more will pop up as the last wave hits the US.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I'm with you, mate. Dude's arms would have to be inhumanly skinny to fit in InArts' suit/armor. They need some more bulk. I may repaint HT's to match InArt's finish an swap them out, and pad out the arms a bit. Maybe even swapping gauntlets. It will be fun to mix and match the best bits.

Whoa, you're coming in hot dude. Let them like what they like or think what they think. What's the big deal? They're toys.

errr. I don't think there's some manipulated psychological self delusion going on here to justify their opinion. I think people just see things differently. I don't think there is a "deep down" place in my personal opinions about collectibles/toys, lol. We just see the InArt as better in many...

I think a lot of early release poor image quality is to blame.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Well I haven't seen the actual screen used cape spread out flat to compare the cut shape, though lord knows how many variants they used for different scenes and effects, so I'm not sure there even is a "definitive" design. But judging how the cape collapses and drapes on film and when it has...

Modding is my juice, lol. Personally I have no brand loyalty. I just want whatever looks best to me on my shelf. InArts all wired design would prohibit any natural looking pleats or folds. So I’d likely swap the cape.

Yeah those are the scallop shapes. They are present on most batcapes but can be more, or less, dramatic depending on the version of the character.

Preference is a funny thing, mate. Out of the box the HT is messy and yeah the crossing tabs are inaccurate. But I love the tattered scalloped edges and thin material, and the folds. With a little modding I got it the way I like it. Even if I can get InArts to fold naturally, it has a less...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I like InArts torso for sure, but I prefer HT’s beefier arms. InArts look twiggy to me. I wonder if I can swap those bicep armor bits and do a little padding.

Hot Toys The Batman modifications & OT Customs collars

Yeah the collar and neck mod really help this figure shine.

They both look like good options. The InArt, at least to me, has slightly better detailing and proportions, but the HT is no slouch for the average collector. I like the look of HT's cape a tad better. Can't wait to compare them in hand.

Looks plenty squared and chiseled to me...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I agree a well designed drape cape would be amazing. But I’ve yet to see one for a Pattinson Batman. HT’s are no better. And I don’t think any customizer has made one. I assume it’s incredibly difficult to source a convincing material, that works at this scale, and drapes as though it has any...

Hot Toys THE BATMAN -1/6 Batman / Batman deluxe / Batman + batsignal set

Yes, HT’s cape is sort of pre ironed and creased nicely. But because of the papery fabric it does not lay flat, even with the wiring. I assume from pics that InArts is similar. So I use some low tack double sided tape here and there in those folds to get a very flush natural looking drape. The...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I’m similar. Plus I go sculpted because there tends to be a pretty big swing in quality in the rooted hair figure to figure out of the box. Some of their rooted Jokers looked okay, many were a mess. At least with sculpted I know what I’m getting.

But then he’ll be left without an unmasked head. I get his frustration. I chose the sculpted version to avoid that spot.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

It looks great, and I’m excited to get mine. But while it has many small improvements over the Hot Toys, I’m not sure I’d say it “blows it out of the water”. I’m strictly talking the Batsuit/cowled figure. I’m excited to see some in hand comparisons.
