Seems to me that most got this guy because somehow they got him on some crazy deal and are loving it.

Same thing for me. Not that I didn’t love rogue one or K2 in the film but I didn’t feel the need to get him. I was kind of good with Jyn and death trooper.

But my shop was doing a buy two get one free deal on hot toys Star Wars. When it was all said and done if you split the three he cost me 160.

Can’t go wrong on that especially because it’s the best hot toys figure I’ve bought this year. Perfect representation the most amazing design and articulation paint and sculpt. To me it’s a 5/5 figure.

any reason they decide to make K-2's eyes with normal transparent so it looks black when the lights aren't on? wouldn't it be better if they used semi clear yellow/white tinted instead so the lights would still show up when lit but even without the lights still visible?

I wish they would have put some reflective material in, much like cats eyes (not sure what people call these outside of UK - I mean the markers in the middle of the road which reflect light lol) Then you wouldn't need much light but they would appear to be shining at all times. Wondering if I could be brave enough to do a mod......

proper loving this figure would go as far as to say its my favourite out of all the ht and ss figures I have picked up over the last year

This guy is a great figure.

Besides this I also got these at some point this year (didn't keep them all): Snowtrooper, Death Star Gunner, Han Trooper, Yoda, Snowspeeder Luke, Shoretrooper, Chirrut, Death Trooper Deluxe, TFA Han, TFA Luke, and TFA R2.

I think figure of the year would probably be TFA Han, with K-2 as runner up, and Snowspeeder Luke as honorable mention.

 Nooooooooooooooo! When did K go to waitlist . . . . . is this another figure I've missed?

What a shocker of a month I've had for Star Wars disappointments.

Fired in a waitlist res but not had much luck with them recently with Zuckuss, Shoretrooper, TFA Han. :slap

BBTS still has him in stock

Cheers, I'll keep that in mind but tend to buy direct as the spread payment plan is so useful - thanks for the assist. :)
PayPal credit is your best friend then. Free yourself from the shackles of SS's payment plan. Set your own payment schedule for up to six months no interest (as long as a purchase exceeds $100). At least that's the way I look at it. Just charge responsibly and all that jazz!

So, it looks like K-2 can fit in a Detolf sans stand, but with the stand he might be a bit too tall unless hunched over? I think I need him to go with my Jyn.

You do need him to go with Jyn.

Also he really doesn't need a stand, truth be told. Just double check your pose and you'll be good.

My K-2 fell over day one after he seemed to be in a good position, and one of those little antennas on the back got a bit bent (was able to straighten it like Rey did for BB-8 in TFA). Too scared to give it a try again so he's atop the shelf at the moment. The place where my shelves are do get regular vibration as we have to walk past them all the time to go between rooms. I'm able to display most figures without stands though.

It's also possible that the ratchet joints weren't as tight for my figure (i heard reports that some folks elbows can no longer hold a pose after initially being in a shooting position, etc. Another option is to use one of the smaller circle stands like old Sideshow ones (using the HT crotch grabber). He fits on one of those in a detolf fine.

Yeah, that'll probably be the end of my Rogue One collection. I do love the design of the Shoretroopers, but I might have missed that boat.

I have him with a stand, just one foot on, one foot off.

I like that! I'd likely do that. I don't have C3P0 and some other select figures on a stand, but with as tall and lanky has he is I worry a bit about going without a stand.
