Im not going to try and blend him with the rest of mine; he will have his own shelf . I'd like to be able to pair him with Feyd, but we will see what happens.

I thought about this for several days before p.o. knowing as I did so that now, NOW is when HT is about to drop something SW that I am absolutely not going to be able to live without. Because thats how this crap works, its feast or famine.

I am watching Aug Toys and thier million Dune figures that somehow, still dont include Feyd. We shall see what they do. I dont see how you announce Pieter de Vries when you aint got a Feyd, but hey.

Now there's an idea worth considering. A few extra robes and a set of blue eyes and boom, there's our Lisan Al Gaib achieved at minimal cost. A whole other rooted sculpt will add £100 to the already £400+ figure. I quite want a really strong reason to buy this and making it an al encompassing Dune parts 1 & 2 deluxe package would win me over.
I think adding the Part 2 robes is very doable for Inart. Didn’t they add the Strider cloak to Aragorn after preorders started?

They could also include the Water of Life as later on.

Yeah it seems that they have to be planning on making Feyd right, no way they could make other figures and not him …right?

I didn’t mean that I will have Paul on any shelf with a Marvel or DC figure. I meant that I would want to put him and any other Dune figures in a separate area, but was wondering if they should be in the vicinity. I have started thinking of an elevated area about 15ft away from my DC figures that will suit the Dune figures nicely. I’ll probably just put them in a Moducase of their very own 😃

Yah, but the Strider cloak is accurate to FOTR Aragorn. Adding Part 2 robes/accessories to this current Part 1 Paul isn’t.

Watched Dune: Part Two last night and loved it. Not a perfect film and it’s certainly being overhyped from the 1/6 community but I’m happy to have witnessed it at the theater and I’m definitely a fan now. I’ll be going again soon.

All in all, I wish they had gone with Part 2 Paul, but Part 1 Paul is good enough. I also kinda prefer Paul’s look in the first film. The only other character I’d want is Chani (Part 1 version bc INART Paul), but if they don’t make her, I’m not losing sleep. I’d rather they make a Zoë Kravitz Catwoman than a Chani as a next figure in a “line.” I know I’m alone in this, but I personally don’t want to see them do any other Dune characters besides Paul/Chani.

Gonna pre-order Paul directly with INART. First time for everything, need the lil’ Muad’Dib.
Does INART confirmed they will do a Zoé Kravitz Catwoman? That would be awesome.

INART PAUL ATREIDES 1/6 COLLECTIBLE FIGURE - FAQ

Thank you for the support on the latest INART collectible figure. We've received valuable feedback and questions from collectors worldwide, and today, we're compiling them to provide comprehensive answers to everyone. Stay tuned for insights and updates!

Q1: ARE YOU CONSIDERING ADDING BLUE EYES TO THIS FIGURE?
A1: We have recently received many similar suggestions from collectors, and we are seriously considering this issue and looking for ways we can improve the figure even more. However, we also need some time for design and testing. If there are updates, we will announce them first on our official social media channels.

Q2: WILL YOU RELEASE ANOTHER VERSION TO RESTORE THE CHARACTER'S APPEARANCE IN DUNE PART 2?
A2: Currently, we are looking into options to expand this line even further. Our team will discuss which characters could be next and also speak with the licensor. If this is something you are interested in, let us know in the comments.

Q3: IS THE RING WORN ON THE WRONG HAND?
A3: We apologize for overlooking this. The House Ring should indeed be worn on Paul's left index finger. We have identified this issue and made adjustments promptly. Once again, thank you to all collectors for your feedback.

Q4: WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR PLACING ORDERS?
A4: The pre-order window remains open until April 15, 2024. During this period, orders are open for a limited time without quantity restrictions. Collectors should place their orders as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Q5: AS THE FIRST FIGURE WITH GLOBAL LICENSE, WHICH COURIER SERVICE WILL HANDLE OVERSEAS DELIVERIES, AND HOW WILL SHIPPING EFFICIENCY BE ENSURED?
A5: We aim to balance affordability and efficiency, delivering products to collectors worldwide swiftly, securely, and at the lowest possible cost. Therefore, we are selecting the most suitable shipping methods and courier companies for different regions.

NGL, I really thought people were more in tune with details and accuracy and whatnot in this hobby. That’s one of the primary reasons why I collect. Disappointed to see INART consider the request to add blue eyes and that it was perhaps an “issue” not including them. It objectively wasn’t/isn’t.

I anticipated this happening though, given the timing of Dune: Part Two release. I knew people would be demanding the more definitive Paul Atreides, but I didn’t realize how ignorant the requests would be though.

Oh well, INART has yet to indicate to me that they don’t care for screen accuracy so we’ll see if this request actually comes to fruition. It also depends on licensing and whatnot so it may not be as likely as people on Facebook are taking these “good news.”

Take a chill pill.
If blue eyes are an optional extra or part of an accessory pack, you can choose not to use them.
The brown eyes aren’t going anywhere and IA would have a hard time increasing the price of an already solicited figure to include more accessories.
The part 1 set you’ve ordered and money you’ve committed to spend isn’t changing.

Others may be perfectly content to add blue eyes, alternate robes, and a little diy weathering in order to save themselves a 4 year wait and additional $515 spend to have the part 2 Paul represented almost perfectly.

You don’t need to continually denigrate other collector’s supposed lack of principles due to a willingness to overlook the accuracy of the suit’s weathering details, which can easily be achieved by the most novice of painters.

If IA announce a part 2 Paul now, it will most likely hurt sales for the part 1.
They could have their cake and eat it by offering the part 2 accessory pack containing just eyes, robes, and water bottle now to appease the impatient, and still do a full part 2 Paul figure with a new sculpt and diorama base after this figure releases.

They’re already quite stretched producing a minimal number of figures and we just keep asking for more. Give us all the Fellowship, the BVS trinity, more GOT, more Harry Potter, more Dune, more licenses etc.

They can only make so much and sometimes you need to strike while the iron is hot, hence Paul’s solicitation in line with Dune 2s cinema release.
However, Dune’s longevity is far from guaranteed. There’s hype right now, partly because the movie industry is in a pitiful state, but will the current desire for a part 2 Paul sustain until it makes sense for IA to announce that figure or will collectors just consider that ship to have sailed as they would then prefer to wait for Dune: Messiah Paul?

There’s more to consider here than just how much sand on the Stillsuit makes this an accurate option.

Pretty nice to see them directly list and answer feedback that they got. Not something you see often. Also not opposed to whatever they might add to this like the blue eyes. I'd be more shocked than anything if they actually sold a separate accessory pack as it's something companies simply don't do in this hobby. I can see them simply adding in a pair of blue eyes for this figure for free if they get around to it in time.

I think the most amazing takeaway is this: that the company decided AT ALL to take fan's preferences into their decisionmaking process. That is jaw-dropping!

Fans/customers: PLEEEAAAASSSSE fix this/make that/do the other thing, PLEASE
Hot Toys: *inscrutable silence*

That silence comes across as "F*** OFF!" to the customer. Very much so.

Personally I'm not fussed that he does not have blue eyes, that would not be accurate anyway.

A LOT of ppl are requesting Feyd so I feel like there's a good chance we could get him :panic:

Ye gods I hope they DONT make Kravitz Catwoman because I'd have to buy her.

Dune is a foundation point/inspiration for a lot of the sci-fi genre. There is little merch for it, and there are -many- rabid fans. I think this franchise will have legs, much like LotR has legs. Harry Potter is a flash in the pan compared to this. HP is small and pale and weak in comparison. Dune is a sci-fi Founding Father and I think we'll see figures from this really good franchise representation for a long time, much like we're still seeing figures from LotR. We'll see this Paul, and we are extremely likely to also see Part 2 Paul. We'll see all sorts of characters! These are beautiful character designs. Money is out there to be made.

I'll go further: once we get more main character figures out, I'd ADORE to see:

*basic Harkonnen soldier
*basic Atreides soldier
*basic Sardukar soldier

Chopper, you’ve assumed things about me…

Me personally, I want a Part 2 Paul ideally. But if they just throw in this accessory pack it wouldn’t make for a screen accurate Part 2 Paul. I’d be disappointed. IDEALLY, he’d need to have a new headsculpt that is reminiscent of Timothée Chalamet’s older appearance in Part Two. His hairstyle is also different. Hot Toys usually reuses the same sculpts for newer appearances, but are we okay with that for INART..? Honest question. It’s not just the difference in Still Suit weathering that is different..

Yes, I understand that if they throw in an accessory pack, that I myself would elect not to use said accessories and simply keep my copy in his Part 1 look, but that’s not what this is about for me personally. It’s more than that. If INART listens to these requests (which are misinformed/ignorant/erroneous, I’ll stand by that), it’s basically giving them or allowing them the green light to take short cuts resulting in an incomplete/half-assed product. I personally don’t want to see them go the way of Hot Toys where they sometimes employ such practice. Again, am I alone on this where I feel like INART cares about screen accuracy? They mention it all the time on their official pages. The whole basis of scaling down from the 1:1 thing to 1/6 is about recreating details as accurate as possible.. I find it hard to accept that INART, a company that supposedly prides themselves on that accuracy would be okay with giving collectors an inaccurate Part 2 Paul.

Not only that, but swapping eyes is asking for trouble. It might be easy for more experienced collectors to do that, but for the novice, you betcha they’ll end up breaking/scratching/damaging things. I doubt INART would want that smoke. It’d be too much push back and it would definitely lead to people scrutinizing them. When have we even seen a licensed maker offer such product where you’re able to swap rolling eyes? Imo, I think INART would prefer to just do a separate sculpt with the blue eyes. And imo, at that point, might as well just do a separate and clean release for a proper and official Part 2 Paul. Most of the costs are involved when it comes to the sculpt are they not?

INART would hurt sales by announcing a Part 2 Paul, but hey that’s the current predicament we’re all in. Ideally, this should have been announced in 2022, but it wasn’t due to failing to obtain licensing in time. Because I agree with you, there’s more IPs/“lines” to focus on. I am definitely considering all the factors and have been thinking this since before their post stating this would go up for PO on March 8.

Wishful thinking/pipe dream: In my book, since these are essentially made to order based on PO numbers, they should come out with a separate Part 2 Paul and if you had gone through them, you should be allowed to change your order if you choose to. Even retailers like Kit would be able to, despite the hassle.

What is misinformed, ignorant or erroneous about ppl paying [ballpark] $500 for a figure and expecting to maximize their usage for it? I'm not fussed about a part 2 accessories add-on, but this seems like an extremely harsh judgement of other collectors.

An accessory pack + current Paul figure would still be inaccurate to the Part 2 Paul costume design. I’m just basing it off how he looks like in the film…. All I’m saying is that in this case, it’d be inaccurate to maximize that usage. Idk why we’re being entitled anyway. Companies rarely/don’t offer two different movie looks in one set. There’s the Part 1 Paul and then there’s the Part 2 Paul. Both are different costume designs…

And apologies for my delivery and for the words usage, but I’m not even trying to be mean-spirited right now.. it’s just that I personally see comments like this all the time where I always wonder if they actually know about the costume/overall character design. I get most aren’t privy to certain details but others are and these companies are as well and should be.

Simply put, this accessory pack + current figure wouldn’t make for an accurate P2 Paul. I have no idea why it feels like I’m alone on this.

If there's anything I've learned from InArt's releases and feedback from collector's that buy high-end custom pieces is that Inart misses some details.

Going back to your very strict idea of what and what shouldn't Inart do in terms of accuracy, shouldn't you already be disappointed by this since this is very inaccurate?

Simply put, Paul with hooks is inaccurate for part 1 and the entire Paul figure used here is inaccurate for part 2.

As far as the part one Paul with hooks is concerned, any collector that didn’t want to use them could simply choose to leave them in the box couldn’t they?

As long as things that would make a figure inaccurate are included as accessories or add in packs I fail to see the problem.

I had a feeling you’d bring that up as a “gotcha!” But that’s different. The entire figure is accurate to Part 1. Extra add-ons like that don’t make the rest of it inaccurate if they’re not being utilized. You can choose to display it like that and sure, that’d be inaccurate but doesn’t make the whole set inaccurate.

An accessory pack + current Paul figure still doesn’t make for an accurate Part 2 Paul.
