InArt - Dune: Paul Atreides

I wanted to wait until I saw Part Two before deciding on this, and now I want a Part Two figure instead. The blue eyes, the tan headwrap, the extra weathering... but that's far from guaranteed, and this is really pretty...

Dune is not a license that interests me at all so it's an easy pass. I know IA is trying to expand but I wish they would focus on continuing a few lines (LOTR, Batman, HP) rather than doing one or two from a truckload of lines that they have no hope of actually completing in our lifetime.

This is most likely a one and done. But yes, they should refocus on TDK Trilogy, LOTR Fellowship and complete the BvS Trinity.

Watched Dune: Part Two last night and loved it. Not a perfect film and it’s certainly being overhyped from the 1/6 community but I’m happy to have witnessed it at the theater and I’m definitely a fan now. I’ll be going again soon.

All in all, I wish they had gone with Part 2 Paul, but Part 1 Paul is good enough. I also kinda prefer Paul’s look in the first film. The only other character I’d want is Chani (Part 1 version bc INART Paul), but if they don’t make her, I’m not losing sleep. I’d rather they make a Zoë Kravitz Catwoman than a Chani as a next figure in a “line.” I know I’m alone in this, but I personally don’t want to see them do any other Dune characters besides Paul/Chani.

Gonna pre-order Paul directly with INART. First time for everything, need the lil’ Muad’Dib.

Was also thinking about that.
Reselling would be easier down the line with the deluxe.
Gonna try to find a sculpted head extra, should be easy directly in hk.

I think your right about that, because me personally I would buy a feyd rautha as he was a great antagonist in the film, Austin Butler really did make that role, He had enough sadistic but also arrogance to him.

When I say that, that doesn’t mean I don’t like the other characters. I loved Austin’s Feyd. All the scenes on Giedi Prime or any scenes with the Harkonnen were mesmerizing for me. I just don’t think they warrant a figure being made by INART, specifically. Hot Toys or AUGToys, sure go ahead. But INART? I’d rather they just focus on the most mains and imo, that’s only Paul and Chani.

Yeah I get what you mean. Though I imagine this is indeed a one and done by them for these films. Though I can see Augtoys doing more in the line.

The best part about a Feyd figure? No choosing between sculpted and rooted.

Glad I didn’t impulsively pre-order. The figure looks great but I’m just not that into the Dune films that I need to invest in figures.

I think part one is a good movie. And the figure looks really great. But it would be nice to know if Inart would also release other characters from the movies.
Because I seriously don't know where this single figure will fit into my collection...

I highly doubt that they're making any other figures.

Never thought I'd end up with an Inart, because as objectively good as they look, their previous rooted-hair products never interested me + the high prices are intimidating. But I adore these 2 movies, plus the greater availability of this one, and a "cheaper" sculpted option? Couldn't resist.

I love standalone figures or pairings or mini groupings. I know I’m in the minority but I’d rather that than full blown out lines. I think Chani is the only other character they should make to represent this IP.

1-2 figures is all I need. I'm fine with Paul having his own shelf or if AugToys does Chani or Feyd from Part 2, I'll pair him with that.

I think The Baron Harkonnen would contrast well with Paul, and I do expect Aug Toys to eventually get around to him.
That big, grotesque, floating sack of ick and a set of whatever the hovering orb things he has attached to him in part 2 would be more visually stimulating to me.

Another character in a Stillsuit wouldn’t interest me as much if I was to only have two figures representing the movies.

Just got out of the cinema from seeing part 2 and still don’t feel fully compelled to start a Dune collection though- especially considering the InArt price. Something just isn’t fully resonating with me in terms of the characters or the story.

That’s why I think they shouldn’t pursue a “line.” In general, the 1/6 collector base doesn’t really care for this IP. Moreover, I feel like it’s just a decent chunk of people getting caught up in the hype, getting ahead of themselves, and demanding all these characters. Essentially, projecting how they approach the hobby with Hot Toys on INART. There’s been so many people on YouTube/Facebook saying INART should go all out and focus on the Dune IP, and I’m just perplexed at the idea of that. INART doesn’t do full blown lines like that. At times, I question whether they even want that… it’s like they want INART to fail lol, cause that’ll definitely do it.

There’s been a couple polls so far being ran on Facebook and Chani is #2 after Paul. Yes, another Still Suit wearing character but hey, she’s arguably the second main character.

Yeah it has been sort of slow going with them but it seems like when they do release figures they are very good. I have their Joker and i think it is a fantastic release so I am confident about what they can do with this line. But yeah I will be bummed if I they don’t make any more Dune figures to go with Paul.

My dilemma exactly!!!!!

For me, I'd want to see Feyd, Lady Jessica, or Chani in that order. Love a good hero/villain tandem, Jessica's outfits are all incredible, and then yeah, another Stillsuit character interests me the least.
