Whos offended by it? Would take a lot more than that. I would just like to watch my entertainment without subliminal messaging pushing various agendas forcing stuff and taking me out of the entertainment. So i'm maybe the problem? Or maybe youre just a jerk for accusing me, and for getting your panties in a bunch because somebody pointed something out that you got butthurt over.

It's not "subliminal messaging", it's right there and plain to see. Nobody is trying to brainwash you. Not everything is some conspiracy theory, they're not forcing anything either.

Plus there are far worse agendas than supporting and protecting other human beings. I fail to see any issue with it whatsoever. Complaining about it is just very telling to me.
 
It's pretty hard to see unless you're really looking. It just DIDN'T need to be in there at all. Pandering never ends well, to me if you have trouble seeing that is whats telling.

Loved this movie, especially Gwen's arc. However, I really do think it suffers a bit narratively from the issues that exist for any story divided into two parts, and it doesnt really remedy those problems whatsoever. After the sequel comes out, I might love it even more, but for now I do feel a little dissatisfied, especially because Into The Spider-Verse is one of my Top 5 comic book movies ever.

I will say...this might be the most gorgeous movie I've ever watched though. So stylistically interesting, and I could probably pause it at almost any time and have a stunning desktop wallpaper.
 
Really good movie! Love how fluid it looks when fighting and really loved the music. To bad the next one is in March I think

While there are plenty of examples of corporate cash grab pandering out there, when elements of the real world we live in are subtly (not 'subliminally' LOLOL) woven into visuals and narratives, it's just serving to connect fictional worlds to ours via reflection and grounding.

Don't see a problem with that. People were going to church and praying, complaining about the economy and arguing about a woman's place in the world within fiction for decades.

Now the issues at the forefront are different but they're not going away, so I think to yell 'Pandering!' every single time you see something real-world woven into fantasy narratives grounded in human experience is ... at best inaccurate. Context and execution matter.
 
I mean, it's not unrealistic for a NY teen to support trans folks these days. Most teenagers in big cities are keyed into political stuff to some degree, whether you agree with those politics or not.

Just saying. If you're gonna bring up political stuff, which is an absolute no-no on these boards, there WILL be opposing opinions being spoken. And then it will get ugly and then the mods have no choice but to delete stuff, and we always end up right back to where we started.

Can you guys just focus on the movie and not the fact that Gwen allegedly has a dingus?
 
Gwen isn’t a guy she is made to support people. I don’t think they’d sneak in a trans person in here and not say anything. I mean if she is then it doesn’t matter.
My only problem with the movie is people dissing Peter like he’s some idiot and people now saying miles is the best Spider-Man . That’s an automatic no go for me. I knew people would start dissing Peter when this movie came out
 
I think they did Ben Reilly dirty making him a meathead, but all would be forgiven if Hot Toys made a comic-accurate Scarlet Spider as a result of this movie.
 
Hmm, not sure what to think about this one. I really liked the quieter character moments and fun cameos, but the action I just found really exhausting and overly frenetic this time around (especially everything to do with the main villain's powers). And the new team of Spider-people just wasn't nearly as fun as in the first movie. Not to mention the fact the multiverse idea feels pretty played out by this point.
