I was one of the first to get one, and I was not aware of any of these issues when putting mine together. I remember having some concerns pulling on the tires during the conversion, though I fortunately didn't have any issues.

I think when something isn't perfect, people are more likely to complain than if everything is fine?
Well, why would one complain if everything is fine?

I know what you mean though. It’s why online customer reviews and most comments in general lean heavily towards the negative end of the spectrum. People are far more driven to express negative opinions and emotions than those of mere contentment and modest satisfaction.

Unfortunately this is the society we live in.

It's interesting that in my lifetime I've found the opposite to have better effect. i.e praise and positiveness. But what do I know ?

Mine arrived yesterday.
Tyres pullout and bending mechanism are ok and feels solid.

Excellent news @psycholak. Thanks for the pics and thoughts. I wonder if there is anything changed on that wheel mechanism ?

At least from that angle it seems to be the same part. But they could have done several "non visible" things like changed material, used.a higher percentage of glass fibre in the plastic, improved the gating on the mould, injection settings etc. So maybe we'll never know.

On the right was a pic I found here from an earlier batch.

Edit : actually on closer inspection there is a physical change at least to the point marked with arrow. Who knows if there is anything different on the underside.

That actually does look different. That’s a good sign! Now I’m really curious what they changed there underneath it.

Oh wow, they did change the design. Dang it I want to trade mine for one that is designed better, haha

Well I received my DeLorean today and thankfully no issues with the electronics or broken wheel struts (although mine were still super tight so I could have easily seen them cracking if I hadn't loosened the screws first). And the seats were both firmly glued down.

Only odd problem was with the front flux band, as the backing piece was missing on one side making it impossible to insert the wires. So I'm hoping Timewalker will be able to order me a replacement part.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it, and can't deny that with the extra lights and hover mode it has a TON more presence than my Part 1 version. Although that flight stand has me incredibly nervous, as the car doesn't even attach to it in any real way but just sits precariously on top. So not sure what HT was thinking with that design.

Cool. Good to hear no issues (other than the small missing part). This gives me some confidence.

If anyone else get's theirs would be nice to get some posts here to determine how many are coming in in good condition now.

Looks like yours also has that “updated” wheel mechanism!

Did they tone down the speckling on the tires and underside as well? Kinda hard to tell.
I got mine yesterday, everything works great, comes complete, no loose seats, all tires works fine, only one of the front tires is a bit tight, but not big deal, the speckling on the tires is still present but hardly notice, certainly looks like was tuned down. Just one question, the light of the tires are only visible while are turned down, is that normal? Regards.

But when turned down the lighting is a lot more noticeable i.e more surface lighting compared to the other side of the wheel.

Aside from the wheel adjustments, I'm Incredibly glad to hear the speckling has been toned down. Thanks for reporting back on that.

Ah I wasn't sure what he was asking there. Yeah the lights coming out the bottom of the wheels while in flight mode are still way too dim. Almost seems like HT has the leds facing the wrong way or something.
