We still don't know for sure if there actually IS a fixed version though right? No confirmation from HT and no one has received one, just "replacements" that appear the same, is that correct?

I mean, I'd assume there has to be something if they stopped shipping the original ones, otherwise what's the point, but the lack of communication and the ever-increasing ship-date notifications are a bit of a concern for something nearly $1,000.

No official announcement about it, but new reviews flooding in and no sign of wheel breakage report so far from those reviews.
Maybe it will take a few more days.

These are a few pics of defects from recent forum activities..
Looks like the same defects we've seen earlier.

Oh well. Mine doesn't appear to be coming any time soon, so I can only cross the fingers that they are doing something in the meantime.

I'm in Germany, so mine is coming from China direct. But I meant more that my delivery time being unknown is a good thing. Then hopefully they can do something as more complaints which come in, in the mean time.

Well if they didn't fix the problem, here's hoping they at least made enough DeLoreans to cover all the replacements they're going to need to ship out instead.

So I cancelled today, too many issues and unknowns. I’ll appreciate the original one more now. Maybe if this ends up on daily deals or something I may reconsider but not worth the hassle on something at this price point.

I would say it's worth the hassle, but it's your choice...
Maybe they will do re-issue few years later with all the fixes.

Another factor for me is because I always had the original HT Delorean which I adore, and really wanted to have this one as flying display. Who knows maybe one day under the right circumstances. I guess I’m just really put off with the qc drama lately.

I just got my (partial) refund from a US online dealer (less 10% "cancellation fee" ).
Was holding out hoping the second batch had the QC and wheel issues fixed, but upon hearing that the latest batches are still having the same problems, I finally decided to cancel my order.

Interestingly, when I requested for the cancellation and gave the reason of the QC issues, this is what the store told me:
"That's why it has not been released yet in the US. Hot Toys is fixing these issues now before releasing them here. Our shipment will be fixed."

But I still didn't want to take the risk even with this information.

Well looks like OSK got their new batch in. I'm guessing other stores will follow soon.

@Kit Chen do you know if your latest batch has qc issues fixed ?

Go on Kit, crack one open and let’s see if Hot Toys bothered to fix their mistake.

Mine is flawless as well.
I think when something isn't perfect, people are more likely to complain than if everything is fine?
