I agree, the tunic is a bit short, but I think it works. I used a shorter body.

They're passing up so much money. It seems there must be a really hard and fast reason for that. You know, Occam's Razor and all: the revocation of likeness rights is the explanation that makes the most sense.

Judging by the reviews it’s a dumpster fire on the level of the sequels, so maybe they’re wise to avoid. That said a classic Indy will always sell. Old man Indy, thanks but no thanks.

If HT doesn't make an Indiana Jones figure, then I think we (and I mean others) can finally agree that HT simply does not like Harrison Ford.

And with Dial of Dead-to-me releasing, I'm OK with that.

Looks like this weeks HT release is a Spider-Man True-Type body... don't expect we'll see any Star Wars this week then.

I've avoided the Dial of Destiny movie thread ever since the movie premiered at Cannes last week. From this comment I take it that it's not looking good lol...

Looks great. I did the same. I think you need to take the gloves off though. I don't believe the trooper with the headset had gloves on.

Nice! I too decided not to wait on Hot Toys. I had a spare Praji suit, used a rebel blaster, DID German boots, helmet from the Leia/Ewok set, and face sculpt of Jayne (Adam Baldwin). Can't remember where the chinstrap came from.

I personally think this is a really good choice for a modern ROTJ poster since, for everyone watching for the first time, an already escaped Solo would be a massive spoiler.

I know, but the sleeves on the Hasbro suit are a bit short. Looked better with the gloves on.

Indeed. I had the same problem with my custom AT-AT Commander. I had to have him at attention with his hands around his back.

The legend of not being able to use Ford's likeness grows with each passing year with more apocrypha being added to the sordid tale.

Soon it'll be whispered that Ford has demanded his likeness be removed from those damned Star Wars movies entirely followed by rumors that a deep fake Alden Ehrenreich will replace him for the Star Wars Original Trilogy Extra Special+ Edition in 2033.

Hmm, no Mando S3 figures yet, perhaps for summer (?)

But why isnt that plausible? Its the same reason we cant get the "Aliens" Colonial Marines. [or part of it] Weaver will not allow her likeness to be used with anything to do with guns. And there's likeness problems with most of the rest of the team, is my understanding.

Many, many zillions of people would do day 1 preorders of Ripley, Drake, Vaz, Hicks, Bishop and Hudson at the VERY LEAST, all these years later people still want those figures. Including me. Yet we're not allowed to have them, and it sucks.

By the way, I would not be in the LEAST SURPRISED for Ford to try to have himself stricken out of all SW movies, as he is an ungrateful little.... well, yeah nothing would surprise me.

I just really want at least one figure from Andor. Not even a Cassian yet, sigh. Not everyone may want it, but I do.

It’s plausible. I do believe Ford is holding up likeness approvals. I’ve heard he’s always been difficult to work with about that and I believe the rumors that he renegotiated his rights to do TFA are true. I’ve always said that when crazier theories get tossed about.

I was saying it amuses me that theories about his reluctance to release his likeness keeps growing to include more and more things as years go by.

I just don’t think he has much to do with his appearance on random things like posters and trading cards and stationary and the like.

It reads like confirmation bias a lot of the time. Meanwhile there's a story where an artist working on an Indy poster where they actually didn't have the likeness rights just asked him and he was fine being on it.
