It's weird because I'm old but I have no desire to own old versions of these classic characters.

This
Star Wars OT Crew
Indiana Jones
Terminator
Rambo
Any and all

Just not falling for the nostalgia bait I guess:huh
Yeah, I haven’t enjoyed a single one of those character revisits and wouldn’t dream of purchasing a figure of any of them or even rewatching those movies again.

Tobey Spider-Man is one of the few times a beloved character has been brought back not just respectfully but entertainingly!
RIP Indy. I don’t know if I can bare what’s coming for him.

I at least believe DC won’t deconstruct, character assassinate or humiliate Keaton in The Flash. He’ll get the revered legend treatment, as he rightly deserves.

However, despite loving Batman 89 and Returns, I don’t yet have any connection to or affection for this iteration of the character- yet. It’s a well executed figure but I don’t know if I’ll ‘care’ until I’ve seen the movie. The suit doesn’t do much for me either but those mouth plates alone could win me over.

That is not entirely true to be honest. I know I'm not the only one patiently awaiting the Raimi Spidey.

Whether that will be the same for this film, who knows.
Agree. Very much care NWH in all its forms. My son keeps my love of Spidey alive.

I ordered it. I like the suit and Keaton. I will have this display done when it arrives.

Keaton Batman retains his dignity and legacy after the Flash. It’s not another Luke Skywalker situation.

If anything, people are going to want to see more of him after the movie. He’s not in it a ton, and the missed opportunity of not using him for a Batman Beyondesque film is going to nag at people I bet.
Well said. And they won't do to him what is being done to Indiana jones, since they canceled the Batgirl movie. I did hear that Gun is open to still doing the Batman Beyond film with Keaton but as a elsewords story but I highly doubt those are facts. I'm grateful we are even getting this return and Batflecks final moments and having two figures made of him.

Bracing for indiana jones :( shoulda stopped at the trilogy. It was perfect.

Pre-ordered. He looks so good. While I love the other Batmen, Keaton is MY Batman. I'm excited for The Flash, and I'll be patiently awaiting what looks to be an incredible figure.
Seriously it turned out so good, i don't even like the suit that much but hot toys put 100% into it and it shows

People are getting a little judgey in this thread about what other people like.

Anyways, this is a pretty easy buy for me. I'd buy all the armory suits, too, to build a 1/6 Kenner-style armory. It's Keaton. It looks great. The stand doesn't event say The Flash, so... Perfect.

I'm very curious what "First Edition" will end up meaning.

My best guess? Since sales are clearly way down, maybe HT is going to do smaller initial runs, and then do prompt reissues of well-selling figures. To try and incentivize early buyers, they add a bonus to the initial run, but not the reissues.

Just speculation.

Pre ordered on SS..before I even saw the film..but how can I say no to a Keaton Batman…I wonder how many will use this older HS and transform it into a Younger Keaton Bruce version

I was thinking first edition meant first batch

HT has done this early bird stuff before, no? Like with Star Wars or Iron Man holograms, etc?
They were ‘special editions’ which meant Sideshow Exclusive here in the states. This ‘first edition’ gimmick is new and unclear. I’m tending to agree it likely means we’ll see this first run of figures sell out like a lot of recent figures are but then have additional preorders go up later without the bonus accessories. Makes sense as it gets us off our butts from the wait and see approach. Anything to get me a bonus item at the same price will get me to order sooner rather than later.

Those were exclusives with a short time frame to order though that were only available through sideshow. If I remember correctly the order page even had a countdown clock. This “first edition” seems to be available everywhere and a new type of thing they’re trying out
