Sideshow and Hot Toys did timed bonus accessories for summer showcase figures last year so yeah you'll probably get like 30 days or so to pre-order with the cowl piece, afterward the figure will remain up for pre-order but without the cowl.

Now where's Catwoman?

Wasn’t Keaton the Dick Jones of the Robocop reboot?

I think the likeness is incredible. Best since the Dafoe Goblin. Yes, he’s too wrinkly and pruny, but we know that the final production will be a lot softer.

not to rain on people's party, but seeing k_won's comparisons shows glaring issues for this figure to me.

likeness needs work, its about 80% keaton
collar piece is completely wrong
minor errors to the cowl itself

It's a really great sculpt of someone who looks like Michael Keaton's stunt double in 15 years.

That aside I quite like the figure overall.

definitely critical on my end, but i think there's improvements to be made to this figure. not looking at the overly textured skin detail since that'll get softened up but the likeness isn't quite there the more i look at this figure. hopefully they update with an improved figure or sculpture because theres a few areas they can still work on.

but yay, at least there's an empty cowl for a change. hot toys seem stingy with those type of accessories for some reason

That photo is dead on keaton imo. Incredible

Figure looks solid.

No doubt Keaton is getting older but I think they went a tad excessive with the wrinkles here. But it's close.

I mean, I don’t see how they could improve it.

It destroys the Returns head they did in 2015.







And yeah I agree about the empty cowls. It should never be a bonus or exclusive. I hate how Sideshow and Hot Toys do that. Every Batman should have an empty cowl.

I still prefer the 89 for nostalgic reasons, but I think this is definitely a solid look and figure thus far. In the timeline that Batman 3 with Keaton was made with this suit, 90s kid me would have bought every toy.

assuming someone like yixie sculpted this for them as well since she sculpted keaton already for toys era's vulture or it could be someone else, with everything being digital, i think it can be improved a bit by making him gaunter.

of course this is all based on the "you wanna get nuts" clip of him in the trailer. his looks change throughout the trailer and bound to be more scenes of him when the movie comes out to better showcase how he looks.

I'm thinking maybe they were just working off of early concept art or whatever WB provided for them, but fingers crossed for improvements. the collar piece on hot toys seems to be a huge departure from how it looks in the clip. whether people display the cowl over the unmasked, the accuracy can be better IMO but for most it might be good enough

As others have pointed out the wrinkles will soften in production so I wouldn't worry about that.

Damn, they done good on this one but do i want ? I've preordered 89 Bats but haven't got 92 Bats !! Then again, this will most likely be the last time Keaton plays Batman !!!!

I'm hoping they'll reissue it but idk if they will tbh. I would also like some batman returns villains, but it's become apparent that this new keaton line from hot toys is only batman. Don't think we'll get anything else besides maybe a Bruce wayne, the only reason we're even getting an 89 bats and batmobile reissue is because of the flash movie. If keaton wasn't in it, then i have no doubt we'd have no 89 reissue on the way

Thats what i might do, but hes super expensive. Might be worth it to wait a little more but we were lucky to even get the returns figure in 2016 so I'm doubtful we would get a reissue. I hope I'm wrong though since I've warmed up to the returns suit recently and have passed on some great deals this past year since i wasn't a fan of the suit, really regret doing that.

Will buy. Absolutely no questions asked, day 1 purchase. Will not wait on coupons, sales, anything at all. Take my money now in full SSC. I simply do not give a flying ****.

lol it's funny they emphasized "great articulation", I hope that's true. I also think the unmasked face needs to be a bit gaunter or narrower but maybe it's just lighting issues in the promo pics. But either way I can't wait to get this! I might also get multiple lol

I think it's the eyebrows and maybe the size of the eyes. That's also where I'm getting the Dick Jones vibes.
