Thanks. Yeah, that's the plan. He's either going to have the extra head or I will source another open-face Hot Toys version and fit and wire it up.

So fresh off the press, Motherbox of Man looking not too bad.

Now for clean up, weathering (scratches and sanded off corners etc) and then paint and paint weathering.

Thought I better get moving, got an email that my Cyborg is on the way. Apparently not a huge batch, so all being sent out relatively quickly apparently.

Same for me. 2 of the longest-to-get-here figures may both arrive simultaneously (this and Scarlet Witch).

Amazing how much the final figure that went up for PO advanced from this initial proto. What we’re getting is so much better than that original from 2017

So Cyborg is finally here !!!! So fracking excited !!

This guy is awesome !!! The League is finally complete !!!

Just had to put him up essentially posed as from the box. Just a beautiful and complex figure design.

But I think I'll finally go for a flying pose.

I’m thinking its going to feel a little bittersweet once I have Cyborg, Deathstroke, and Mera in my collection.

But hopefully InArt at least does the Snyderverse trinity. I would also love it if Soosoo or Daftoys makes Martian Manhunter. Toys Battalion version was lame overall. (Decent head sculp and passable suit, terrible body and cape.)

I expect to feel a little strange about scratching that DC itch moving forward. If Flash is really good on its own merits, despite my personal feelings about Gunn‘s decision to end the Snyderverse… and if Sasha Calle impresses me as Kara which I do expect… then maybe I’ll get her figure. Conflicted though I may be.

Maybe Batfleck from Flash. But I have five Batflecks already so I’ll have to love that particular iteration of the character in the film, and he’ll have to promise awesome shelf presence. Otherwise I can easily pass.

For all the stuff the Gunnverse has planned there’s a really bad taste in my mouth that’s going to be tough to get past. That’s just me personally. Much love and respect to others who do not feel that way, and I’ll be envious of your enthusiasm collecting what’s out there for DC.

I’m not really into collecting MCU or Star Wars. I watch those franchises and enjoy them, but not enough to collect the figures.

Rebel Moon I’m sure I’ll collect. I have my Baldur’s Gate kitbash project to complete. But again, I may just feel too conflicted to collect DC after completing my Snyderverse and Soosoo Watchmen series (provided they do finish it!).

Indeed it will although my collection will be complete so I'll be glad about that.

I will be stunned if the Flash does anything for me. At best it might rival Aquaman, at worst it could be on par with JL 2017/TSS but most likely just something easy to watch with the kids and point at the things we recognize.



In regards to Batleck and Flash in the movie. They are the worst versions of the character's suits that I've seen by quite a margin. I hate that Batman's suit has blue in it and the wire/frame on the side. The only redeeming things about it are what is left from the previous designs. I have nothing positive to say about the Flash costume. I'm hoping the movie will surprise me in regard to these.

Like you say, if people love what Gunn does/will do, more power to them. This starts and ends with Snyder's DC stuff for me. Plus there is only so much money and so much room. I've got a 1/6 Delorean and a collection of 1:1 scale weapons and no idea where to put them.

I'm with you two. I keep up with DC stuff quite a bit, and I don't see Gunn giving DC the serious treatment which it deserves. It continues to look like MCU 2,0 day after day. It seems the Flash is also not as good as I was anticipating. Mind you I have been keeping away from as many spoilers as possible.

But from "non spoiler" comments of people who have seen it, the film doesn't seem very cohesive at all. Considering all the fingers in the pot cooking this one up over the years it's probably no surprise. I would have contemplated seeing it in the cinema, but now I don't think I will at all.

For me the best thing is the ability to get a Hot Toys 89 Batman at retail to add to the core film Batman collection. I do hope we get the Affleck Batman version from Hot Toys though. As you can see my collection has a higher percentage of Batfleck. Got to hand it to Zack and the designers. They certainly went for the bleachers with Batman designs. Armoured, Tactical, Standard, Knightmare. All great designs too !!

So I'm also with you guys regarding Gunn and the DCU. This is how it ends for me as well. No interest in what he is doing or planning. As much as some will not like this comment, I hope it fails miserably.

In fact I am sure it will. They had the perfect setup and chose to go the cheap route. At least Deluca and Abdy are still there. I do still think Plan B is Zack when he is done with Netflix. But until then I am content with what I have and personally will not support DC in any of their new stuff.

Bring on Rebel Moon and Dune 2. Ahsoka may also be good. But other than that I'm pretty much out.

In the mean time I'll focus on completing my 1/72 scale Star Wars ships, purchase some InArt LOTR figures and have the Delorean coming as well to go with Marty and Doc. Finding a spot for them will be also pretty tough ! Star Wars ship wall display should look something like this, all under glass with spots.
