Long story short, I tried the smooth-on psycho paint which I thought would work but unfortunately it did not.
A lot of these companies claim to use real medical grade silicone (which some collectors have owned for over twenty years with no deterioration) when in reality these companies use silica or silicone with tin which is why the psycho paints unfortunately didn't work. You did a great job with the oil pastels though!

I wonder if gray dye on Scorpion would also work better than trying to bleach Noob lighter? I don’t think it would take much to turn that yellow into just about other color but white. Although maybe a chalky pastel on that black Noob outfit could give it an ashy gray look to it, which could work for Smoke.
The problem with the dye that everyone should keep in mind is that most dyes will dye the fabric, but keep the threads the original color since it's not fabric. So you could have a green vest for reptile, by be stuck with yellow threading.

I got a custom stand for Scorpion!

Gameplay reveal for MK1 was cool! Kameo fighters are an interesting concept im not completely sold on but well see. Its interesting to see all of the major changes that are being made to these characters but I welcome it, we don't want these characters to be bound by the exact same stories forever, the old versions will always exist.

Glad I never bought those. Not true 1/6 and cost more than they’re worth.
I'm glad I have them, but I also don't think they're worth the asking price.

If they were maybe $50 cheaper, I'd say go for it. I don't regret getting them, but they're not a homerun.

Mine didn't have these problems. You might be able to just get them clean with some soap and water or a magic eraser.

It would be easier to swallow being around that or even $180. They come with minimal accessories and they’re midgets.

I have the whole storm MK line but Liu Kang since I haven’t gotten around to it yet and I’ve decided until they offer something better I’ll stick with the smaller stuff.

They're not mine, but I can get them at a good price because of these stains.
But i highly doubt they can be removed with just soap and water.

I was able to get Scoprion for exactly 180$. But I won't reccommend the experience to anyone. I went through TW, used points from a previous overpriced purchase plus a couple of promos they were running at the time. Took months to arrive. But hey, got it for a more reasonable price.

For my part i received Scorpion + Subzero for 300€.
I had this good price because of the stains that i shown you in my previous post.

I will try to remove them later, and maybe i will change the bodies by phicen in the future.

In any case i really like this figures! Because of my nostalgia with MKII on Super Nintendo
I did the poses of the game, which also hide the stains

Yepppp. Not sure how Storm Collectibles who has made good seamless (mostly) figures in the past such as Mike Tyson, Mohammed Ali & Hulk Hogan resort to making Mortal Kombat arms like this. These definitely do not TEST YOUR MIGHT.

I've already ranted about how I wish they were seamless, but it hasn't been bad enough for me to feel the urge to do a full body-swap. Maybe when I have more time and disposable income.

I did calculate they aren't proper 1/6 scale (they should be 6'2", but the figures we have are closer to 5'8" scaled down), it's not really a problem when I have them together, and some minor ankle extenders fixed up most of that issue.

These are such weird releases because I'm both inordinately happy to have durable, poseable, high-quality 1/6 Mortal Kombat figures of my favorite characters in their classic attire. Every time I see them, I AM happy to have them.

But I also know that the Mortal Kombat bias in me that goes back to the Sega Genesis days colors my feelings. Objectively, they were overpriced, their seams are a problem for many that want seamless and realism, the stands are outright junk, and having just reposed them last week and swapping in new hands they continue to be the most frustrating hands I've ever had the displeasure of working with.

... But, dammit, I'm such a big Mortal Kombat fan that I still am glad they got made and hope more get made. I absolutely would get Reptile.
