They know he will sell, Square Enic also did two Cloudette figures. They're pretty ugly, like most SE figures, so I'd love a GT version.

I kinda think Noctis might come first at this rate, he's had a lot less problems with his prototype compared to how many times they scraped and remade Tifa.
I just wanted to see Vincent realized, we saw no more than a 3D scan and a cloak.

I'm really hoping that TE considers doing a solid Barret since GT won't touch him with a 10 foot pole. Doing everyone from the core group (even Cloudette?) but not Barret is such a lame decision.

Could be to do with the body engineering, it's been discussed in the past. A large seamless body with bespoke tattoo decals seems like a big ask, especially considering GT recently developed a new body for AC Cloud and the DN figures, but then again, who knows what's more cost effective: that, or the tailoring for Miss Cloud's dress.

A seamless body would be perfect, I can imagine the weight he would have lol similar to my Iconiq Studios Ryu. But I'd settle for a jointed body so long as they met the proper proportions of Barret. I cancelled my Shark toys Barret PO because I just found him too skinny and I couldn't find any info about his height. His sculpt and clothes looked perfect too but they just used a basic muscle 1/6 body and I couldn't look past it.

Iconiq's body or something similar would be a good shout. If they ever get round to Zangief or Sagat, they'd be even better. I'm not expecting anything on that level from TE but they can surely only do better than Shark's one. Is that even out yet?

Next out after Ken is Akuma and that's gonna be sweet. ST Barret isn't out yet, but really can't wait to see him next to Cloud for size ref.

Yeah, considering people have made articulated chocobos, not to mention GT makes a new body EVERY time they make anything different bc they’re a fullbody release company that’s just getting started, the excuse of “they’d have to make a brand new body” rings kind of hollow to me. I mean the same argument could have been used against a seamless Cloud and Sephiroth and they’re doing that for AC. Same argument could have been used against making lady characters, and they’re doing that too.

Also, with such limited runs that they’re basically to order, “they might think it could not sell well” (imo I think it would) also doesn’t feel like a particularly strong argument, but that at least has plausible deniability re: the possible minimum size for runs for it to not be extremely risky to make any.

I haven't been keeping up, but did GT ever express interest in making a 1/6 Vincent?
A 1/6 Balthier would be dream come true.

There was at least some progress on a prototype for Vincent at some point last year yeah, but no word on anything recently. iirc that was before they started becoming much quieter.

Plus like Binjie said, Barret just doesn't sell when I asked him on Twitter. It's too bad. I'm sure he sells in the West, but whatever. I just really want a good Barret as well.

One figure I’d love to see GT release is Ardyn Izunia from FFXV.

There are zero figures of him in the market, Squenix didn’t even bother making a PAK and he was a pretty cool villain with an interesting look. Plus, that outfit would look amazing in 1/6 if done by a company as competent as GT.

Since they are doing Noctis already, Ardyn would pair up nicely.

Give me a 1/6th scale Y'shtola from FFXIV in a Heavensward or Shadowbringers attire and I'd be exceptionally happy.

• Noctis prototype almost complete
• Tifa prototype still being tweaked to perfection, no release date planned. Not sure if coming before or after Noct
• Aerith complete redesign, new body in the making
• Teased clothing for Vincent, Genesis, Yuna, but nothing more than clothing photo teasers, no plan to actually release
• AC Sephiroth headsculpt/body photos teased but no more info

TE also is doing a Yuna

forgot about TE's yuna, she is stated for Q2 2023 so hopefully soon then Aerith in Q3 2023
