2 pack won't get a reissue but the Returns outfit is a definite possibility. As to when I would say it would be at least a year after the 89 reissue late next year so 2025 at the earliest

Would it be worth getting my hands on the 2 pack? How likely is a reissue?
I would wait.

The single and 2-pack is crazy expensive. Between the ‘89 Batman revival and Flash hype this summer, Keaton collectibles are going to be self sustaining. I guarantee Hot Toys releases a Returns 2.0

I don't think HT will re-issue Batman Returns, with 89 and Flash Batman would be enough for HT.

I won't buy the double pack, I would go only with Batman Returns figure alone, there are better Waynes out there.

I hope one day they consider a 2.0 of the Returns suit to match the updated 89.

It doesn’t have to be soon as there’s plenty of Keaton Batman on the horizon but I always liked the simple clean lines of the Returns.

I always thought this scene was strange…looked like he was just depressed being Bruce sitting alone in the dark in the moment and then he comes to life when he sees the signal..you have to wonder if Burton scripted this or did Keaton improv

That’s the idea. Bruce Wayne doesn’t have a life outside of being Batman. When the signal is up, then he has purpose.

I was listening to an interview with Kelley Jones(comic artist) who elaborated on how he imagined the Batsignal would instil fear into the people of (his) Gotham city and act as an alert, not that the cops have called for Batman’s aid to fight crime, but that this unstoppable, violent, nut job vigilante is loose on the streets again and it’s not safe to be out.

I just remember having a ‘well duh, of course that’s what the Batsignal means’ moment.
It could still comfort the regular citizens of Gotham but I like a Batman who’s so ambiguous, elusive and brutal that pretty much everyone runs inside when they see the Bat in the sky. Yes, I get a kick out of him being an authoritarian boogieman.

Reeves totally addressed this fear response to the signal in The Batman but we’re rarely ever shown the Batsignal being used as anything other than a means to call Batman- and him responding to it- but Batman wouldn’t wait for no call! He’s gonna be out Batmanning whether Gordon likes it or not!
When night falls, Bruce ain’t moping about in his study, he’s already knee deep in leather boots and salivating at the prospect of getting his knuckles bloody!

Of course Batman doesn’t ask for permission to be Batman the signal is more for the criminals than for him.

The way I look at it is yes he will be Batman with or without the signal being lit BUT the signal can also be used as a beacon to direct his attention towards an immediate hot spot.
