Not sure. I have not heard of Mars toys. How is their in hand quality?
Right now, their best figure to date is the '66 Joker that got them on many ppl's radar as a company to really watch out for. Previous releases didn't garner as much talk. The closest being their DX08 KO. But I didn't really hear much from ppl who bought their Breaking Bad figures or the Batman Begins Ras Al Ghul they made. So, at this time, most of us are wondering if the '66 Joker was just a one time thing or will all subsequent releases be as good or better. They've already delayed their '89 Bruce Wayne to obtain a better production piece as their first sample wasn't to their liking. So, we have a decent idea/hope that they're interested in keeping up quality throughout production.

I'm excited for this but I'm not going to hype up mars like they're the best company ever like a lot of people are doing. I have the romero and it's a decent figure but they have a long way to go before the praise they get now is justified imo. I would like to see them improve the quality of the paint apps and bodies they use.

I think they're only getting praise because of their promises. They're doing figures we've been begging for for years. It's excitement, like the kind generated by a movie trailer. Yes, the movie might suck. And then you just move on and forget about it.

When I say Mars is my new favorite company, it is solely because of the promise. The promise on all this Batman goodness.

I've been just as vocally positive about InArt... and thankfully, so far, that has paid off.

Fingers crossed for Mars Toys.

Mars Toys have produced very good figures with their Joker (Cesar Romero) and Joker (Jack Nicholson). What worries me a bit is the many announcements, pending releases and that they are now teasing with their penguin (Danny DeVito) shortly after Eternal Toys made their announcement. You know - competition is good for business. One can be curious.

Actually Mars teased him first and then the full figure reveal by Eternal come like a few days later out of the blue.

I wonder if Mars got wind of the Eternal figure and released those Returns renders as a way of telling people to not rush out and pre-order as they're making Returns figures too.

As I now follow Mars Toys on Instagram after they lost their old Facebook account, that may be true. Mars Toys may have a new Facebook account now which I honestly don't follow.

I didn't read anything on Instagram about Mars Toys also wanting to produce a penguin (Danny DeVito). Just by accident to be honest. It will probably be a hot battle for customers...

They mentioned it a long time ago on Facebook on their original page when they were still pumping out their KO DX08 and a few other times before they were forced to make a new Facebook page.

Yeah Mars have had the Penguin and Catwoman in the pipeline for a while but it can't be a coincidence of Eternal announcing their version within a day of Mars putting out a render. They knew it was coming.

The Mars figures of both Returns villians seem to be some way off still going by what they showed. Mars are more down the line on the Schumacher figures at this stage.

A Penguin prototype or mock up would of been a stronger way to undermine the Eternal announcement but doesn't look to be at that stage yet.

The penguin from the company Eternal honestly looks pretty good. What I definitely don't like are the two little penguins. But other than that, he actually looks pretty good.

I'd be kind of annoyed if Mars did give their Penguin priority and got it into the market quickly on back of the disappointment of the Eternal release.

As someone who has ordered the Eternal one, I admit it is mostly due to selfish reasons but it would come across somewhat obnoxious of them to do that especially considering how many other projects they have going and are further into production.
