Sorry to bump an old thread.
I, very randomly, just got a $20 thank you promo code from Sideshow. My last purchase with them was December 29th, lol. Battle damaged Vader from the Kenobi show. Weird that just came through tonight, but whatever. I had $25 in reward points I was saving for Koska when she releases, I think I'm going to want that figure when it's out.
But for whatever reason this figure keeps calling to me. Reading through the thread it seems like there a lot to like, and dislike, about the figure. So, I'm leaning my original plan of going with Koska, but is this figure at $45 off worth it? Even if that is basically the cost of tax and shipping on the figure and it's still essentially full price...

This is the only Luke I have and I love it I have no issues with the way it was made.
Thanks for reminding me why Sideshow sucks, you will literally get a better deal everytime anywhere else, $12 of crappy awards isn't worth it in the end when you think about shipping and Tax you can save much more in the longrun.

I will be buying Koska and I just got this.
Koska is likely to be a smaller run so I would use your rewards and promo there.
This has hung around for a while and will always be eligible for whatever discount promotion Sideshow is running. Try this for $25 off

I was born in 1987 so I am a child of the OT. Grew up with them even though I missed them in theaters.
ESB was always the one I watched on repeat in the 90s...and still the one I watch the most to this day. You're right, it's (in my mind) the best sequel ever made. Incredible opening and one of the most shocking moments ever filmed.
I've always maintained a very strict "one figure per character" rule that I've so far only broken with Obi-Wan. And I guess Luke since I replaced my terrible ROTJ one with the new, very good Mando one. But I guess I was afraid to jump and get another one. But you're right. Koska had a few cool scenes, and Luke literally helped save the Rebellion by leading the fight to enable their escape.
I also just hate buying from Sideshow if I can avoid it but missed Kit's preorder on Koska. Either way, I feel like you're right here so I'll probably get this Luke and see if I can get a deal on Koska later. Maybe my thank you code will pop in up six months again and be eligible on her after release.

Well now that there's another $5 in savings....
I'm with you - I'm trying to avoid Sideshow at all costs these days. I just missed the pre-order window with Kit on Koska. And I hate the extra couple of months you have to wait for BBTS. Planning on her being my last purchase at Sideshow unless I'm really desperate for something.

So glad I held off on buying this until now. Sideshow's shipping prices are why I buy from Kit exclusive now....$20 on this figure is ridiculous. But, it's a great deal and can't really see this ever going below $200, so I just ordered one. Very happy to have done so.
One of the best OT figures Hot Toys has made.

Just got Snow Luke with the $53 discount from Sideshow plus $56 in reward points I wasn't sure what to do with, so he'll be in hand on Saturday for $189 taxed and shipped via UPS!

Yeah, it's always a helmeted no-face figure they put on super deal like that. I would never have thought they would put Luke on a sale like that. Hopefully they do it again for you guys--this figure is loaded with goodness.

Did a couple swaps after getting the DX24 in yesterday. Looks like the hair has a gold wash making it lighter rather than the copper wash on the SP Luke that makes it more brown. Also swapped for the new head to see what that would look like.
