I mean as much as people knock Hot Toys it’s hard to blame them for going where the money is.

Even Mars while doing some things off the beaten path are going for thing with brand value. Batman is always popular. Same with Bond. They’re picking up the pieces where others left off in a lot of ways.

Side note, I’m actually surprised that Hot Toys never made an attempt for Bond. Maybe they did but the license was tied up by Big Chief?

Maybe Batman, but the idea of what Hot Toys left. Having Villains for the Caped Crusader and Boy Wonder should have been the next logical step for hot toys.

I am just glad it's happening. Always great to have options 3rd party or not. The figures from MArs look fantastic. And the thing is, I feel HT would have done the bare minimum like 1 headsculpt stoic, rather than multiple.

WONKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

For those that ordered from OSO. Just saw this on their fb :yess:

There must be some fine print of “any” item for free.

I’m guessing it has to be in stock, or exclude InArt figures that are upwards of $1,000, etc.

I just discover this figure exists. I'm also interested but I'll have to see the final product before buying. Not completely convinced by the likeness.

Also, is there a way to see all of the new releases of non-licenced figures ? Big e-shop websites like bigbadtoystore don't have non-licenced figures listed.
I guess I can see these figures here on this forum, but I was wondering if there is something quicker to browse. Is there a thread with all the new 1/6 annoucements ? Or do I have to go to each category (DC, Marvel, Horror, Star Wars, etc.) to see the annoucements related ?

I agreee with your logic.

My logic is Mars has done a solid job in the past and this should be no different. I would rather order now than struggle later. Although distribution is usually sold in recent years.

It might be the only shot at a Wonka figure. So I much rather have a close representation of something than nada.

You may be right. But do you think it will be sold out everywhere before someone put a video review on youtube showing the final product ? I never had a problem to buy a figure after seeing reviews. I never pre-order.

No threads with all new announcements I'm aware of. I'm in a lot of FB 1/6 groups and people will post there or I just check OneSixthKit or Giantoy to see what new preorders are out. Mars Toys has their own FB group too.

You won't find it for as cheap as the preorder price but might be around. I'm not sure why they're very secretive with this one and not even being able to see it on OSK's site without logging in.

If a product is good and you wait about a week or so after it comes out, you may miss out. I have seen a few now the past year that it has happened to me. We are lucky for example, Mars did a second run for Joker as many missed out.

Given that their Keaton Bruce Wayne and Black Manta are waaaaaay behind schedule, I’d be shocked if this comes out on time. They just barely finished releasing their ‘66 Batman and Robin reissues

I know their Gus they've had issues with and I believe changed factory since. It baffles me though because it was a very short period of time since they announced Joker and produced 2 batches of that?

I think you answered your own question without realising. What's the difference between the two that would take much longer than any other part of the production? The face painting.

After waiting for a while I've decided to order this. Huge fan of the movie, it was funny, dark and mysterious at times, and I think Wilder was great as the main character. Happy that it will be represented in the collection, and trying to be strong about the 66 Batman releases.
