I wonder how far they will take the clone wars line? I’m hoping we get an Assajj Ventress from them. Perhaps even an Aurra Sing?

Both would be awesome though Ventress feels more likely between the two. Feels like more and more people are hoping for her. But it’d be great to get more underworld figures like Aurra and Hondo as well.

It’d be really cool to get figures like Ventress, Shaak Ti, ARC Colt, Havoc, Blitz, and Phase 1 Echo and Fives over time to put together a Kamino arc display.

PT/TCW fans are showing up in force with money to spend so now is as good a time as any.

Aurra Sing would be great. Not sure where she'd go in my collection. If they made a young TCW era Boba and a Bossk, it'd make a great display.

Would love to update the head on my sideshow custom Palpatine.

I think they see that is where the money is right now, and they might go all in on the line over the next few years. They got 7 seasons and a movie to pull from and even more if they go back to the Microseries. As long as they don't throw too many clones at us, the line will continue to be super successful for them.

Balance will definitely be the key to the Clones. They can only do a few at a time. Outside of the Bad Batch, which I think needs to be considered separate from the rest of the Clones as they have their own show/squad, I think Fox is the only Clone up for pre-order right now. Would certainly be a good time for Hot Toys to announce a Fives and Kix, or perhaps a Clone from TBB like Fireball. Then wait until next year for more.

Definitely can't overload it.

This is a tad off tangent but if I were to watch The Clone Wars, where's a good starting point? I tried to watch a few episodes of the first season and it was horrible schlocky Saturday morning kids show. Heard good things about the last few seasons but don't want to skip too much if there's a good starting point.

It starts forming up quite nicely in S3. However, there are some really good episodes in S1 and 2, just not necessary to fully get everything going on. The first season is definitely the weakest, but stomach that and it really pays off. Enjoy.

The movie and S1 were definitely more overtly youth oriented and clumsy. S2 is still shaky but there are some solid episodes. But the show starts to find its footing and grows up very quickly from S3 onward.

You won’t really miss much by skipping S1. There are some good episodes in S2, but you can always go back and pick through it later when you’re more invested in the show. S1-S2 are both fairly contained; nothing you can’t quickly catch on to later. So I usually recommend new viewers start with S3.

There are a few less interesting S3 episodes you can skip as well if you want to, but I would definitely skip the Mortis arc on your first viewing. I think the late season Citadel arc is a good place for people to get hooked on the series so give it a chance till then.

Season 1 episode 22 with Cad Bane was where I really started paying attention.

I am kind of disappointed hoping for a Attack of the Clones and not Clone Wars.

I really like that Sideshow Emperor and Palpatine 2 pack from sideshow years ago...want a Hot Toys update. Partially because I never bothered with Clone Wars.

The Plapatine head looks dope. Almost like the mischevious smile he does throughout the Prequels.

AOTC and not ROTS Palpatine? Surprising; he doesn’t get much to do in AOTC.

I think there’s still a chance for live action PT Palpatine. They could easily reuse this sculpt to make ROTS Palpatine, maybe for the anniversary.

I was thinking in terms of Anniversary.

I missed out on Anakin so hoping for a re-release. Back then I wasn't invested in 1/6 scale. During the pandemic, I saw Hasbro being terrible and moved to Hot Toys and other 1/6 scale and never looked back.

Any prequel Palpatine will do. But having the Emperor and Palps would be fantastic 2 pack. I do like his laugh in ROTS and a stoic head seems like a must. then he has his evil smile while doing evil in the Shadows.

That entire prequels should really be the Palpatine trilogy as he out-shined EVERYONE!

Agreed balance is key, do not oversaturate the market with too many clones, I think another army builder should go up next and then get back to the named clones. Between Jedi, Droids, Bounty Hunters and others, you can easily balance this line going forward. Honestly, my wallet is doomed anyway.

I think @slynger and @MyenShi summed it up really well, S3 is when things really get started and where the production team realized that their audience was a bit older, cherry pick a few episodes in S1 (Rookies, Trespass, Hostage Crisis, Ryloth Arc) and S2 (Geonosis Arc, Mandalore Arc) and then get into Season 3. You can always go back to those prior seasons whenever you want as well. The series finale is some of the best Star Wars you'll come across.
