She was comparing something she thinks is bad with something everyone knows is bad, in order highlight just how bad (she thinks) it is. Whether you agree with it being that bad or whether she was right to invoke Nazism in that way or at all, how does she BECOME the second thing? How does it make her a nazi to say something is AS BAD as nazism which is really bad? Like seriously explain the logic to me because it's baffling. If I say 'camembert tastes like poo", how does that make me a poo? If I say 'cars polute as much as planes,' am I a airplane?

That person just needs to tighten their wrist peg and they will be fine.

I’d kinda like a chunkier Cara Dune. The beefier Carano got, the more believable she was as an arse kicking shock trooper. Never hurts to have a little more weight behind your punches- unless you’re on the receiving end- in which case, it hurts more.

The torso and legs can just be padded out but she’ll need some unique arms to capture that more feminine bulk. That’s probably asking a lot but in Mars we trust.

Let’s hope this makes it to production. I’m surprised Mars hasn’t created a shell company under another name to take on A Disney property; Star Wars most of all.

Eh, they might but I doubt it. They never did anything about the multiple 3rd party slave Leia’s, KO of the HT ANH Leia, or even that really good looking recent Queen Amidala nor the 1/4 ROTS Kenobi that’s up for order. Same with the present toys Indiana Jones. Not sure what makes this one so different to those, especially when it’s a character that the mouse doesn’t even want to be associated with anymore

No interest in the figure but I'm curious to see what body they use for her. I doubt they'll use any traditional female body that's out there on the market.

Welcome to the world of TikToks and everything being fed to people in 10-30 second formats. People aren't even able to read more than a few sentences of text before their brain starts to melt and resorts to just calling it an essay. Results in them not even being able to express their thoughts on the matter since the discussion starts to make them feel stupid.

Gotta say, Gina Corano has a body type that is non existent in the 1/6th female figure world. I’d say Mars would really need to invest in a new body or at least the arms. I’d be ok if the arms were sculpted and jointed, but it would have to be sculpted to match the actress body type. I also don’t think there’s a Phicen on the shelf that is a contender. If @Bigbreda gets it and reviews it, I’ll have a look.

S39 would be a pretty decent choice. Would just have to figure out how to get the arm tattoo on there. My understanding is that painting silicone is a little different/more challenging than painting plastic. And I’m sure a decal would probably just crack overtime

I’ve tried water slide “tattoos” on the shoulder area of a male TBL figure, and you are correct — the slide cracked due to the stretching of the skin when posing the arm. The only time those things work is on areas that don’t flex as much as the figure is posed — like the thighs — as long as the decal/water slide is small enough. There are numerous tutorials over at the onesixthfigures forum discussing coloring TBLeague bodies, with varying degrees of success, and tattoos have been done with some success using specialty markers as well.

I'll be watching this thread with great interest. Hopefully this figure will get made and looks good. I really want a Cara Dune in my collection.

Firstly - I agree gina got a ridiculous amount of hate for what was at worse a clumsy use of a very emotive bit of history.
secondly- it does seem increasingly that there are some really ….not sure how to politely describe them- people on here nowadays.

back to the toys….

im in for a season one cara. Really think it’s a shame that we don’t have one. a female character who isn’t stick thin? You would have thought she would be a shoe in for a figure.

I would have thought a little padding on a female body would make the curves. She really isn’t that big but skintight body suits don’t flatter many.

I'll be interested to see how this figure turns out.

I'm sure I have lots of figures in my display based on actors who's politics I wouldn't agree with. Heck, some of them might even be not very nice people. I really couldn't care less.

I liked Cara Dune as a character so I'll buy this if it turns out well.

The most exciting part of all this is we might finally get a Bespin Han! Mars Toys seem to know the characters we want that HT won't touch.

My guess is that they will use a male body with padding to fill out her physique. That’s been done before and by larger companies than Mars.

I’ll also say that if I based my appreciation of art on the personal actions of the artist, the only art in my home would end up being photos of my kids, grandchildren and the various pets we’ve had in over 40 years of marriage.

Easy pass. It's nothing political for me (I didn't follow all the drama when it was going on and know little of the controversy surrounding her), I just never really connected with this character and there are SO many figures I'd rather have to bother with this one. I'm happy for those who want her though - HT will never make one, so now's your chance
