It's a fantastic sculpt of good old Ian. Older faces give the sculptor to work with.

I love Ian's portrayal of Palpatine, he's just pure evil throughout the saga. I wouldn't say no to a new ROTJ version, I'm surprised he wasn't shown today.

I understand.

The incessant pressure to preorder has preoccupied people so much that it’s starting to warp any sense of time.

We live by the preorders now.

Receipt of the actual figure is unnecessary... and quite a nuisance actually: futzing, posing, making room on the shelf, finding a place for the box, learning of a 2.0 version.

Knowing you have one locked is all that is required for peace of mind.

I was hoping for more reveals but ordered this one.

I'm not in the market for this since I have the one Palpatine I'll ever need - ROTJ - but this does look very cool. I actually quite like how they translated the lanky animated appearance to live action.

Shame they reused the oversized ROTJ hands for the most part though. I was hoping I could get some new hand gestures that are better scaled.

Many Star Wars fans were conditioned to watch the same 3 movies on repeat for decades before anything new came along.

This is a community that can infinitely repeat any cycle forever. That’s what we were trained to do.

I dig the look overall and think the headsculpt is up there as one of the best recent releases IMO. I do find it odd that he looks to have TCW animated proportions with the super skinny arms, slender looking body and big hands but he has a realistic portrait. I can definitely see this sculpt getting some reuse down the road but I’ll order just in case

I also think we may eventually get a Yoda with moveable eyes too.

A true grail figure right there

Im excited to have the looks of all the baddies from Son of Dathomir finally in the collection.

This figure is OK. Not really special for me because I dont watch the cartoons but its fine.

This looks good. I ordered. That is all.

Palps looks so good here. I cannot wait for this one! Awesome display shot.

I wonder how far they will take the clone wars line? I’m hoping we get an Assajj Ventress from them. Perhaps even an Aurra Sing?
