Agreed the quality definitely isn’t premium for the standard collector of high end goods. I literally gave the 66 Car from Mcfarlane to my daughter to play with 😆. I did order the new Batmobile and batwing should look good displayed on a wall.

It looks like it’s straight out of ToyBiz’ Batman movie toyline… from 1989.

I just can’t justify it to myself - I know the inaccuracies would annoy me to no end.

Honestly, I think I’m going to wait and see what Spin Master releases. I have a feeling they’ll release a cheaper version than the remote controlled version. Maybe even one slightly bigger.
I just got the Batwing with the 2 figures and it’s really nice for being a kids toy.

I’m not quite sure what some people expect. McFarlane has never been super high end or anything. They’re adult collector toys sold at retail, not true collectibles.

I think the wave from The Flash look alright for the most part. I want the Keaton and Affleck versions of Batman, Supergirl, and a version of Flash.

Oh, I’m definitely getting the McFarlane figures. They’re great for customizin. With some new head sculpts, they’ll look amazing. Case in point: the Pattinson Batman with the Muff Toys head.

If Spin Master makes a Batmobile for their 12’ line, it’ll probably actually be more in scale with the McFarlane figures and most likely will be a bit more ‘accurate’.

A Spinmaster 12-inch scale Batmobile must be on the cards - they are doing the Batwing so it is very possible

Has anyone been able to find the Spinmaster Flash Batmobile? Sold out when I checked my Walmart. Looks pretty good from the reviews I'm looking at.

Damn I was going to pass on the Batwing…but after the new trailer …I might have to get both the spin masters and Mcfarlane versions

I was hyped for the batwing but the cost is hard to justify for what's essentially a hollow plastic shell. Not to mention the inaccurate cockpit. You're supposed to be able to fit three figures, not just keaton by himself. Again, the animated series batwing has this beat with details and LED features.

Not impressed with the McFarlane offerings. I mean yeah, I’m grateful somebody is making 1/12 (1/10) scale classic vehicles, but they’re not accurate at all.

The Batwing I get, could be inaccurate due to lack of references and materials, but there’s no reason the Batmobile should look that wonky. That canopy is unforgivable and there are already a bunch of people fixing and customizing it. I see people defending it with comments like “hey, it’s only $60”, or “they had to change the canopy so figures could sit inside” but then I look at DC Directs Batmobile and Batwing with proof that these things could be done better.

I understand compromises, but when you have 34 years of references, there’s no excuse to make a collector’s vehicle look cheap like that. At the very least, they could have designed the canopy better.

Comparison of my McFarlane Flashmobile to my Hot Wheels 1:18. Despite it being smaller, I feel like the proportions and die cast makes the Hot Wheels look more realistic. I still like the new McFarlane despite its flaws. I also reduced the gloss on the McF using Krylon satin clear:

The 1/18 hot wheels is still one (the best?) of the best sculpt to date from any scale.
The proportions are almost perfect, much better than the 1/6 hot toys.
The one that could do better is the 1/6 Jazzinc with it’s 3D Lazer scan of the original screen used car.

I canceled the RC spinmaster batmobile. The back side wheel well area is all wrong and the rounded design look they have there annoys me to much for that price point.
