I don't think you need to worry about the wrist peg as long as you don't forcibly try to bend it without using the hot water method first.

I carried them in a simple bag, the kind we carry groceries in. A cotton bag with handles. Which turned out to be not the smartest idea since then the black uniforms had lots of fluffs afterwards...

So perhaps some plastic bubble foil for protection next time.
I was mostly worried about Janeway losing her hand, it keeps easily falling off so I made extra sure to check twice that she was still complete before I went from one location to the next.

I did once lose a weapon including the weapon holster - still to this day I have absolutely no idea how THAT happened. I had made sure the weapon was glued with sticky tape into the holster but somehow the whole holster had vanished from the belt. I noticed and went back to search for it but no luck.

Also with the second picture above, a lady came and touched Janeway's head, she wanted to make sure whether they were glued on or something. I said "Hands off" as I was afraid she would fall down and break her nose on the hard ground, which would have been a nightmare. She couldn't believe it when I said these cost 200 Euros.

But usually you meet many people who ask what you are doing and it is always funny! Once I was in a hiking area with Kirk and Spock - someone asked whether Scotty would beam them up now LOL

I also once met a lady from Florida while doing pictures here in Dresden/Germany, and she recognized Kirk and Spock and asked whether she also could take a picture.

So, wherevery you live, I'm sure you have some nice places to show off. Go out and have fun! Just make sure they are always sitting or leaning against something, we had a strong wind yesterday and I also was worried about them being blown over. And never go far away so you are always ready to catch them should they fall.

You really don't want them falling on their nose (or wrists, for that matter). And beware of old curious ladies

How do you do the water method? I can't free the pegs from her wrists to drop them in water. I tried a hair dryer on them. They are still tough. One broke off in her hand, so I'm getting more pegs. It makes me not want to pose her. No problem with Chakotay, probably cause of bigger wrist joint?

I removed the hands, pulled up the sleeve slightly and put the wrist into a cup freshly boiled water. Don't worry if the uniform gets a little wet.

Then I carefully wriggled the joint back and forth, just a little. After a while it gave an audible snap and snapped into the next position. I moved it some more back and forth then with a bigger range.

It's still very tight but I can now move them without using water. The important thing is, if you want to do the "hands on hips" pose for example, to first put the joint into the right position and then put the hands on. If you try to move it with hands on, you don't see what you are doing and might move it into a wrong direction and then it snaps.

Good luck with finding pegs! I understand it is not easy as there are not so many female out there.
