GT should just use the new Worldbox female bodies and call it good with Tifa.

All this time to "perfect" a seamless body that is gonna get torn up in an action pose regardless of what they say. I remember seeing the surface paint rubbed off of Cloud's arms on a few figures.

GameToys is definitely reaching the area of diminishing returns. Even that Aerith sculpt that they showed over a year ago looked great as is. I can't really imagine them improving it much further over the past year, same with Tifa which seems to look not that much different from what we saw last year.

I think it’s wonderful that ToyEra is releasing Aerith. Good for those who can get it. As for me, I think I’ll wait for GT mainly because of scales.

Wouldn’t want another VTS issue. Those with GT cloud can measure and verify Toy era Aerith height works with GT? I read somewhere that GT cloud is still slightly bigger scale as compare to hot toys.

All in all, competition is always good for consumer. Let’s hope that all of they come out with awesome quality figures so that we all get to choose and enjoy. May the best company wins.

If TE really are gunning for the 7R party + Sephiroth then fantastic. Think it's pretty clear a bit more serious competition in the FF market is needed; not diminishing GT's actual work by any means, but ultimately you can only take your customers' patience so far.

Yeah not sure why the boss is sweating so much over these, they looked great the first time he showed them off.

I get wanting to make the best figure possible but there comes a point where you just need to get it out there.

For anyone wondering apparently Gametoys isn't a thing anymore and are going as Rocket Toys. I've tried looking for it online but I haven't been successful.

We really need confirmation of this from a solid source, noone seems to be able to pinpoint that so far. Hopefully Walter or Eling can fill us in - if there's info out there then surely they'd know about it by now.

If you can’t find the source, it’s really only as real as me going “GameToys is only making Kirby figures now, trust me” so I’m not gonna be worried until it’s time to be lol

Easy preorder for me. This will replace my pretty terrible super duck Aerith. If the GT version emerges then I will buy that one too.

Judging from the conversation provided it looks like gametoys have went full incognito since they are now confirmed to have links to a studio that works with licensed figures and dont want to compromise rocket toys image.

But that doesnt mean they are discontinuing their unlicensed line up right?

Like @chrisstbh mentioned though, the potential Rocket Toys connection was brought up months, maybe even close to a year, ago. GT definitely got quieter and slower after that, but it didn't stop them putting up orders for Kira and L.

Ah well, there's not a lot you can do I suppose, you either wait for gametoys (possibly might not even get a release) or buy toys era if you want a guaranteed release

from my view
3rd party unlicensed figure= can improve multiple times without limitation.without se limitation. makers can use any method they like
（be it as poor made quality figure or top tier figure that even the licensed figure cannot match.）

licensed figure= each modification must be approved from official side.even the the a modification as small as slight chance of facial expression such as smilling，packaging box design，details of cloths（example：license side said the figure cloths must be sealed，cannot be undress by buyers），battle damage painting effect（some license side dislike battle damage effect so they demand there will be absolute no battle damage painting）.

so back to the topic：do gt really dont make figure anymore？

from my opinion，not possible.
Firstly，its just a beginning/ tactic for gt. gt proved their skill， their capability of making the BEST FF series figure. the best which i mean compare to those infinite amount of statues，pak series，others 1/6 3rd party product，official etc etc. prove me if im wrong. boss want low profile，thats it.

gt can make semi ok-ish quality figure and sell it，so humour me and ask ourself -why do gt keep upgrading they product while aldy being at the top of lines？why gt insist of using gt custom develop body instead of using those mass market body？why gt always give jointed arms+ silicone arms？

Second，gt is a small company. boss aldy said the production capability is just not too enough/efficient. currently is mostly occupied by ac cloud.why open preorder if the production cant keep up？the last preorder we got is dn which i believe is Nov 2022. gt capability now is around 2-3 figure per year. if we think with a little bit of twisting，zack can consider 2 figure instead of 1. just saying.

Lastly ，the man behind gt.

yes，he is crazy ，he is super ocd regarding the development of gt figure，some members said：just open preorder aldy，tifa is good enough. but he wont compromise，he wont listen ，as long as he is not satisfied，no one can change his or affect his decision.sometimes dislike by group member due to his straight foward/hard truth /stubborn attitude.
he dislike posting picture of ：gt improve this and this after listen to consumer advice.he think company should had thought of what collectors really desire when open preorder.the preorder picture will do the job，if collector like it，they will buy it.he will make silent improvement on the figure better than the promo pic if he found anything that can or needed to improve.all based -FROM COLLECTOR TO COLLECTOR. he want you to feel what you getting from gt is worth the money you paying for.

and yes，i do love and respect this crazy man . wont mind the waiting because i trust gt ，not because they make 100% quality figure，undoubtedly some defects come with the figure. but mostly the continuous persistence of improvement ，the willingness of facing challenges/hardship of making the figures，and happyness/excitement of during preorder open or during receive the figure.

Its make you happy during and after open box，whats more important than these raw emotion？
right？

@walter88 Thank you very much for your insight. I'm happy to hear that the rumors about GT and that unrelated company are untrue, and hope they can finally be put to rest... I'll delete my comment about it (as can anyone).

I also think waiting for the best version of a character is the way to go. Rather no figure than a subpar one, in my opinion (although that Aerith is nicer than most).
