Hot Toys celebrates Star Wars Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary

What I need is a ANH stormtrooper release with updated details and refinements!

I agree Leia feels like a strong contender. They have a sculpt they can reuse. Chewbacca seems viable since they don’t need an actor approvable.

Han as always is up in their air.

I’m expecting something like 3 brand new figures and 3-6 repaints/retools/reissues total.

ROTJ Fett, Palpatine, Royal Guard, and Luke might be among them.

ROTJ Han and Chewie are basically utilized from reusable parts from their ANH counterparts. If you're look from that perspective you'll understand that the odds are super high. It just all bows down to licensor approval at this point.

My wallet is living dangerously running up to May 4th. Lots of ROTJ characters I loved and will be a no brainer to PO. Very excited... but very scared.

Their appearances - especially Chewie - are different enough and those figures so old at this point that there’s not much they could or should reuse.

It doesn’t feel like it but it’ll soon be a decade since those figures debuted.

Were it a matter of reuse we would’ve gotten multiple Han and Chewies by now. They’ll just happen when they do and I don’t bother expecting them.

But they could surprise us. Who knows. Chewie still more likely than Han though since there’s something up with Han and Ford specifically.

I’d be down for Boussh, DX Solo, TIE pilot, Bib Fortuna, Ackbar

Except for Han and Chewie it almost feels like the "least possible releases from HT". Of course, I want to be wrong.

That week will be interesting. Star Wars day and Guardians 3 released a day later.

I think they'll show Guardians figures the week before to avoid the clash.

Ackbar and Nunb would be a dream come true. Wedge and General Lando would be amazing though all fairly unlikely.

I would love to have the figures to have a Home One display to represent the Rebel Alliance.

Oh yeah I know, completely unrealistic from 5 down. However, Boushh stands a very good chance, and the Gamorrean Guard and Bib Fortuna are not beyond the realms of possibility. I have a feeling they’ll make an Ewok dress Leia with a random Ewok.

We’re all going to be extremely disappointed when May 4th rolls around and we get Peli Motto, Chrome Mando v.2, and a ROTJ Boba re-release (minus the Sarlacc tentacles).

I’m fully expecting 1/6 Lizzo for Star Wars day and then, as with the AOTC 20th line, HT will wait 4 months before announcing the rest of the ROTJ figures.

I think if you consider what would likely sell in both markets, Boush plus the V2 possibilities are about all you can hope for.

Han is just in a different category. I can’t help but think it’s b/c HF hates the character

Chances are slim but i'm thinking this ROTJ anniversary could be a chance for Hot Toys to finally release their Death Star Trooper.

He doesn’t hate Han. He just wanted Han to die. On multiple occasions.

If he hated Han he wouldn’t have come back for that nonsensical TROS cameo.

It’s not like he would’ve done it for any other reason.



Okay I’m going to call it a love/hate relationship.
