GhostBeard: When does Sideshow say they expect to get Kirk now? I ordered through BBTS and they used to get their supply from Sideshow. Thanks.I ordered through Sideshow and they pushed back the release a month due to "delays." Still looking forward to getting Spock, hopefully next month. The anticipation and excitement are still alive and well for some of us.

The Kirk thing is a bit odd. I know that they shipped something in the region on 20-30 units by accident to a UK retailer that was expecting Spock at the time, who then had to return them back to Exo-6 so that they could re-sell them. I imagine this will be with a markup.

Interesting they keep "finding" more stock of a supposedly strictly limited edition figure, without specifically saying what the number of that strictly limited edition is. Stock keeps turning up when some retailers such as EE and BBTS have yet to receive their allotment. Curious. [I wish I knew how to post a Spock eyebrow raise gif]

Meh. I have little sympathy for anyone who only bought these as an investment for resale. I'm just pleased some more people will be able to get them. I feel sorry for people who really wanted one but missed out. Sounds like the price might be a bit higher this time though.

For a second time Sideshow just kicked back TMP Spock another month for those who opted for FlexPay, which I did because it was released around Christmas and I didn't feel right dropping coin for myself so my wife talked me into it but I did payments to minimize budget blow back. Odd that the figures are popping up other places.

Yeah he's selling them personally, overstock from a UK retailer. Nothing to do with EXO-6.
It’s not overstock in the sense that the store had these units and couldn’t sell them to begin with. The retailer was never expecting a second batch of TMP Kirk to arrive at their warehouse but rather Spock. This inevitably caused a delay on TMP Spock shipping with that retailer, as the store contacted buyers who had received Kirk in error (the outer boxes has Spock labelled on them but contained Kirk, which the store never picked up on).
They were then subsequently recalled, as every buyer was contacted and asked to return their purchase, which was then shipped back to Exo. By the sound of it, it’s not even like Kirk was meant to go to any other retailer at the time, so Exo had a good number of these to sell on, albeit privately with whomever they made a deal with.

What a mess. Makes me wonder what I will really be getting from BBTS.
I might be wrong but I believe BBTS gets their stock from Sideshow not directly from EXO. If that is the case your order is might be safe as long as BBTS and Sideshow coordinated on the amount BBTS was allowed to sell. From memory I believe there was an issue with some resellers making the mistake of thinking it was an open preorder and they accepted more orders then their suppliers (I believe it was Sideshow) allotted them.
I would recommend contacting BBTS and asking them if the order was still good.

I have a strong suspicion Popcultcha is supplied by SS, which means BBTS customers could be out of luck too. Somewhere along the way it wasn't communicated this was a limited edition, whether from EXO-6 to SS or from SS to its resellers.

BBTS has gotten EXO-6 figures before Sideshow in the past so they don’t get their stock from them like they do with Hot Toys.
