Hey, if Justin prefers that grouchy, pin headed, body-like-a-brick Joker he’s slapped together over InArt’s then who are we to criticise his infinite wisdom?

He uses Toys Wonderland, after all. His insight should be beyond reproach. We mere mortals who have to pay for shipping simply don’t know what trash we’re buying.

This release is completely dampening my expectations for Aragorn and The Batman.

Hopefully Inart takes on all the criticisms on the chin. For me it's nice enough looking, but also nothing special. Batman and Aragorn look special, hopefully they can deliver. Because the decline in quality from the prototype to final production video, for me personally, falls below what I'd have liked.

Doesn't help they've been hyped up so much. But please don't fumble the other releases!

Somebody posted this on Justin's group. If you read through the comments, he's actually trying to make a case for the DX11. Even claims that it's the better overall figure and that he's going to sell the Inart. He's not even using the DX11 sculpt in his comparison.

Obviously he's entitled to his opinion. I just think it's bizarre is all. He cobbled this together in his dissatisfaction with the stock figure, but I can't see how it's supposed to be an upgrade. To each their own I suppose.View attachment 630623

It's funny that many of these "complaints" are pretty much no different than any issues that I've had at least once from a HT figure in all my years collecting HT, even the loose or missing magnets. I've had to reglue magnets on Iron Man face plates as well as magnetized hair pieces for Jack Sparrow and ROTJ Luke. Did that poster forget the recent issues folks had with the DX19- missing cape clips, armor plates not aligning, scuffs on the crotch and armor pieces, missing pins on the sticky bomb gun, etc. ? A few of these complaints are just lack of common sense on what to do. Also, I'm glad he likes his custom CREG Joker sculpt (which appears to be the 1.0), but there's a reason that Dean has gotten up to, I believe, a 6.0 version now. The likeness (and paint work for that matter) is much better on the InArt's first attempt as well as Dean's later sculpts vs that 1.0.

If I were on that FB group, my replies would be:
  1. Yes, that seams to be a common issue with the sculpted single pack meaning the magnet is probably missing. Ask the retailer for a replacement. No different than getting a defective part with a brand new HT figure.
  2. Has he heard of superglue? Just glue the magnet back inside the hand. Shouldn't have to do it but that's an easy fix.
  3. I would regurgitate what I have countless times in this thread about how to get the head on. The magnet isn't weak. It's incredibly strong. His ability to adjust a figure to get everything to sit proper is what's weak. Did ppl expect to not have to futz with the figure when they got it? I didn't think twice about loosening the tie and opening up the collar to get the heads on. I never just open a figure and plop it on the stand but that's just me :dunno
  4. Easy fix - Water treatments and maybe some light ironing with a towel or parchment paper between the clothing and iron.
  5. Sounds more like the buckle at the back is pulled too tight and needs loosening. This will fix any "twisted" issue.
  6. Gloves are some of the best parts about this set. So much better and accurate than the HT gloves. Only fail here is not enough different options. Only reason they may appear big is b/c they actually look like there’s a hand inside the gloves. Shoes, I sorta agree that they're a little plain/smooth. Could use some weathering at the very least.
  7. Zero tailoring difference? Is that why they're choosing to use the InArt purple coat and blazer on their custom? The clothing obviously lays better which has to do with both the tailoring and material choice.
  8. I understand that HT is the current gold standard for mass produced figures, but they also don't get it right 100% of the time when it comes to scale. Look at all the ppl that say EG Cap is pinheaded? Or how about how stubby their Cavill Superman figures are with the thunder thighs, gorilla arms and long neck? Or how short BW and other female figures are compared to the upscaled male hero figures?

Justin reviewed the InArt Joker and said it was miles better than any of HT Ledger figures.

It was just someone posting in his group.

This thread before this figure’s release: “InArt is going to show Hot Toys how to do business, this thing looks perfect! No more customizing to get a perfect figure”

Half of this thread after it’s release: “This figure is perfect, it only has as many issues as any typical Hot Toys release, all you have to do is repaint the head, removed the eye mechanism, removed the neck adapter, replace the tie, replace sticky tack with magnets, re-glue all the magnets, iron the clothing, and pad out the shoulders and then its perfect!”

I do love the T1 and T2 figures. It's a shame HT never revisited those movies but we got some terrific figures that still hold up really well even after so many years.
Hold up? No that pleather is a death sentence :( my terminator jacket crumbled

I really hope Inart makes a T2 battle damage figure!

Some people here make Buzzkillington sound like fun. Jesus… It’s like… someone gets a lemon and everyone’s jumping around and yelling ”we are all gonna die!”. I truly don’t get what’s going on with Inart, but if people had the same reactions with HT, either we wouldn’t have had things like Doc or Jake/Sully, or there would be no hobby at all.

We gotta remember: it’s NOT a 1000$ figure, it is a 350 one, with a 1000$ pack version… that puts it in the ballpark of Batman 89, Bespin Luke… for a new company, I’d say not too shabby. Also… chill? If they are answering to those who have issues with the blu tac (which would be unacceptable had they not adressed it) and the other big issues like the two of the same heads guy and so on… then what’s the big deal?? Can’t a new company make mistakes if they adress them?

It’s not like you buy a 40k car and cannot use it after waiting 9 months for it because they messed up with the wheels (Toyota)… Or buying a 90k car which might or might not run over a motorcycle depending on the height of the backlight… Yet I don’t see that kind of reactions in the motor world I see here and on YT with the freaking dolls.

There’s one thing about the people in this hobby, and that is they LOOOOOOOOVE to ***** and complain. Always have and always will

I paid off my Standard version, should have it soon. Maybe more issues than we'd want, but nothing huge and InArt is taking care of things.

Hot Toys has been in business for a long time, I'd expect less issues. Then again, their new 800$ DeLorean is falling apart lol.

Not my image, but this is the body used for the Inart Joker.

The head is freaking huge!

Until you add ALL the layers of clothing. The head is literally the same size as the HT Nicholson Mime Joker, at least the rooted versions. Maybe something happened to the sculpted hair heads

Not really. Looks about the same as Hot Toy's head on a completely nude body. Jokers hair being on both sides of the face also makes it bigger/wider than others. It is slightly oversized but really not that crazy.

That neck is so thin and the abdomen is bigger than the chest. Oh my gerrrrssssssssshhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I don't know. I find the rooted purple coat as a whole is quite nice. Blutac-gate aside, the sculpt is on point, the rooting is done well, paint app is nice, and it is properly proportioned. The jail cell version needs a different body but that's it. Yeah, headsculpt is big compared to other 1/6 heads but it works with everything it comes with it.

Is the DX Joker head proportioned to the DX TDK Batman head?

Standard dispatched today from KGHobby

”Sender is preparing item for posting” since 27th, guess the supplier?

This is apparently normal for KGH nowadays: receive stock; wait six days to begin processing it; print a shipping label; wait another 2-4 days before getting the parcel into the post.
