It's slow going, but quite satisfying so far.

I ran tweezers under the arm wrappings to break the glue, and applied them to the new body. Both on the right arm as Wez had them. These are futzable too since they're just tubes of fabric.

It's all the straps that take the time. They're fiddly to pull through the buckles with tweezers.

The straps for the knee pads and shin guards are a nightmare.:gah:

Purely because the buckles are free floating. So when trying to pull the strap through the buckle you have to try and prevent the other strap from slipping out at the same time.

I couldn't tighten the shin guards to pull them closer around the legs at the top.

I think he's pretty much done, apart from the feathers which I don't know how to tackle.

Wow Asta, that body swap made a HUGE differenece.

I would try the hot glue at the base of each feather, like with a toothpick, to get them to stay flat.

It fixed the proportions of the upper body parts, which was what I hoped.

Boots are an issue in as much as the peg holes are too big as shells075 pointed out, so he's just standing in them unattached. That's okay unless you want to go for some crazy posing.

I'll have a look at him again later. While I was working on him a second parcel arrived from Kit with three more figures. :panic: :lol

I agree that the body replacement alone makes a big difference.

Great work, Asta. Looking forward to following your lead with this figure. Mine has made it to the US, finally.

I've already found a use for the body. I cut out some rubber from the sides of the torso so the arms will rest more naturally, and am in the process of putting the Ujindou Big Red One unform on him.

Tell me about it, the little straps are enough to make you want to scream
Very fiddley. I feel I must try and Mod my fig now after looking at your fine work Asta.(y)

Ok after being inspired by Asta I decided to try a body swap. Decided to try using a Phicen, so I requisitioned one off another fig of mine, (sorry Nurse Joker) I had to dremel away some of the head connector so the Phicen neck peg would work. It goes faily deep so that was a relief.
I found some biker boots in my parts bin but the rest is from the original fig.

Oh and by the way if your thinking of using a Phicen make sure you have a bit of talc on hand! it will make getting the trousers on a lot easier.
I also trimed the feathers a bit, they were getting on my nerves.

Aside from the skin tone difference, looks good!

So much better in proportion, simple fix, sad they cheaped out on the body.

Mine should be here soon, got lost along the way but now back on track.

I agree. The replacement body looks great proportion-wise. The skin tone difference is the only negative.

Yay! I got mine delivered! Thanks Kit!
will swap out the body tonight.
Yeah, the mods and upgrades seem pretty limitless with this fig. New body, bigger shoulder armour, better feathers... Oh maybe thats it actually. :lol
I might try and add a bit of weathering. I need to get to OZ and get me some of that red dirt and apply it to the fig.
