I'm more of a lurker on here but I received my Joker yesterday and wanna thank Kit from OSK for the smooth transaction! Only took 9 days to Germany which was way faster than I expected. Will definitely be my go-to shop for more InArt figures in the future :rock

Damn the DX19 cowl could be completely enveloped by the Joker dome

Yep, Joker’s noggin as well as his shoes are slightly oversized. Not as noticeable in hand as in the pics for some reason but still a bit too big.

Quick rundown after having him on display for a couple days.

The tailoring, especially the fit, material and weathering of the coat, are very well done.
Sculpted hair looks great.
Sculpt itself is decent but really doesn’t have that ”wow, so life like!”factor like I get when I see the Mars Romero Joker for instance.

The paint apps are a little less impressive.
The PERS is not aligned properly.
Not enough hands.
Shoes slightly oversized.
Sculpt slightly oversized.

It’s better than the DX11 by a long shot but not a figure I think couldn’t easily be beaten by HT if they put a little effort into it.

For anyone still getting this guy, I’m curious: Are you still as hyped as you were when this was first unveiled? What are your thoughts on this figure now compared to how you felt then?

It still looks fantastic to me, and I still want to try and snag one after selling off some other things soon, but I can’t help but notice a dip in quality.

It blows any of Hot Toys attempts out of the water, and I’m sure for most that’s all it had to do.

It feels like the energy of this thread has definitely changed as more people have received theirs.
I'm still just as hyped for this and the other InArt releases. I ordered the single sculpted, as i didnt see the need for two of him for me. I would have preferred the rooted hair in a single pack, as ive ordered the rooted for all of the other InArt. Yeah it has its flaws, but hopefully InArt learns from some mistakes as they go on.

I'm not going to be as particular for this character as others are because he's not one of my all time favorite characters. Everyone is going to have a different perspective to some point whether it's because they absolutely love Leger Joker, have a very artistic eye, or details just really pop out to them.

I dont think anyone's opinion on this is necessarily wrong or inaccurate. We all just have a different eye and love for this character. I believe the only thing to cycle out are the ones that have the objective that InArt or Hot Toys needs to fail. I love the competition and improvements all around we are seeing from this.

No offense to anyone here, but this thread has killed my excitement a bit. I feel like the figure has been analyzed to death and yeah I’m equally to blame for that, but it think it’s just been talked about so much that I feel like I already know what it will be like to have it so it’s sort of just… meh?

When it was first unveiled I believed the idea that it would be a perfect custom level figure, pay $1k and get something that will never need to be modded. Now I feel like the head to body proportions break that promise. There’s definitely something that’s off enough that I could see customizing it, another project is not why I was excited for this one.

No. As with anything, hype dies down eventually and I'm sure I'll be more hyped when i get it, but when i ordered the rooted i didn't really feel any excitement and just felt i would regret not doing it.

I feel the same. More excitement for the Romero Joker and Mars Toys offerings right now.

I expect that to change when I get this set in hand though. Probably watched too many reviews at this point.

Agree with the head being a bit oversized jail cell sculpt drop in quality from promo. 🤔
The eyes on mine are ok but have seen some wonky, going forward we need individual sticks for each eye. Not sure if anyone noticed but there's on a left gun grip hand so 🤦

I defend the paint apps here's a picture of mine the detail and paint are incredible. Tailoring on clothing is top notch.

It's a figure you need to experience in hand for a true opinion.

Think I'm more exhausted with the discourse and discussion with this figure than anything. :lol Still hyped for the figure and I just want Kit to ship my double rooted pack so I can finally have it on display. Some people are still flipping back and forth on "The figure looks great there!" and "Oh no the figure looks bad there.." on the daily when they see a bad photo.

Where's that circle chart someone made for this thread going through the stages of grief with this figure. Sums it up quite well.

It's really depending on futzing and angles aswell. In hand the sculpt isn't over sized at all any smaller would look pin headed.

Blitzway do the same they're figures tend to be bigger in size.
I agree, in your pics and others the head size looks fine. I prefer it to Hot Toys often making heads a bit undersized.

I haven't regretted cancelling. In addition to QC annoyances posted here, I've found myself agreeing with other kinds of criticisms that I didn't have when it was first shown.

Am I the only one that’s sick of moveable eyes on every figure now?

It was all the rage back in, what, 2010-2015 or so, then it seemed to go away for a while. And now, post-Inart, it's back. But is it any better? Have the old problems of cartoony irises, thick eyelids and recessed, shadowed eyes been solved, which could justify bringing the gimmick back? I'm not so sure. Prototypes have looked pretty good but as always I'd expect a downgrade in this area at mass production. I'm worried about Aragorn and some future Hot Toys I'm interested in.

The jail bird version looks unhealthy, big head on a pencil body.

Mars toys is blowing inart out of the water, and at a fraction of the price. Who saw that coming. I’ll crease up if Mars announce a superior Aragorn.

Yup I was thinking the same thing. The Inart Joker is pretty impressive in hand, but it's still a big step down from the proto and I don't think HT at their best would have too hard a time topping it even without rooted hair, as their better hair detail, better moving eyes, and (most importantly) better proportions would make up for it.

I am very excited but a lot of things have lowered my excitement like the size of the box and the extra costs and now the qc issues I mean look at this

Like someone pointed we have to deal with the problems of this ridiculous box that cant even do its job to protect the figure!

And like you said there is a noticeable dip in quality too even if the figure is still great

I have not seen any examples to believe that hot toys can win in the proportions category or in the tailoring. Or that they can make a hair sculpt that looks better then the rooted hair on inarts really? When I think of hot toys doing this I think of really bright colors and baggy clothes with no weathering. And maybe they can get the head sculpt right but keep in mind they have not in the last 5 attempts

No I don't mean they could beat rooted hair, but just that all the other things would make up for it. Obviously they've yet to make a better Joker, but they've made plenty of other incredible figures and I hardly ever see issues with oversized heads or funky proportions on those. And when I compare this Inart Joker with some of the other 200+ figures I own, it doesn't jump out as being massively better or higher quality than those.

If hot toys did do another joker it would be smart to hire yixie and really stupid not to. Shes the best when it comes to joker sculpts and they have worked with her recently I believe for the cobb vanth head sculpt.

No I don't mean they could beat rooted hair,
And I don't see them ever doing rooted hair. Which is the selling point for why I'm buying InArt.
Keep in mind this is their first release. The nits you are referring to can easily be improved over time and future releases.
