I cant judge anything until I have it. I decided that I will redress the figure from scratch. But I am worried about the tie. I might not know how to get it back. I do not even know how to tie a real one
No need to worry about the tie. I believe the knot is glued, so you don't undo the entire tie. There's a slider buckle at the back that you adjust to tighten and/or loosen it to get it around the neck. If you want one that ties like a real tie, you'd need a custom by Dino or the daftoys one. Not sure if the Topo toys one is a real tie or not. The only struggle would be if you completely loosen the tie from the buckle b/c it will be a PITA to get it back through that tiny buckle. But there is no reason to loosen that much at all.

well, like everything else, we all see things differently. I guess good on me and anyone else who doesn't think the head is oversized. Sucks for those that see an out of proportion noggin though
True that 🍻 I'm right there with ya. I guess it helps that I do one figure per shelf display so even if there was a size difference I wouldn't notice it. 😆

Yeah something definitely got changed from the proto, as there was no hint at all of the proportions being off on those, even on the jail scene version without the bulky coat. Either they shrunk the bodies or ballooned up the heads for some bizarre reason (perhaps to better fit the eye mechanism inside?).

Just really hoping now they don't do the same thing with Batman and Aragorn...

Everything you are referring to comes down to futzing and posing. This is the inherent challenge on this hobby. It requires a lot of talent to fully tap into making 1/6 figures look amazing. You need several hours, and a lot of skill to do it right. The majority of people who collect these things and post on this forum are not good at this stuff. A good rule of thumb is, you can make figures look as good as the best reference picture you can find. If one person was able to do it- that is what the figure can look like. This way you dont need to get scared off by all the 'bad' photos

Your telling this to the guy that drilled the sides of his hoth leia and made it 10 times better then it was 😂

It's also really not that different depending on how the photo is taken, angle of the sculpt, futzing, etc in comparison to the prototype.

This is with the production non-jail cell sculpt but yeah it's really not that far off. Some photos and presentation of it is definitely making it worse than it is. It is a tiny bit oversized but not as drastic as some terrible photos are making it out to be.

Kudos to whoever futzed with then traps area
I wonder if they had to iron it to make it look sharp

I have to say, these are some exceptional figures - no complaints here. No issues with magnets or the stands. The jail diorama is also super cool, too.

As someone else pointed out, you do have to spend some time with the collar to get the heads in. In my case, the ties were way too tight, so I just loosened them up a bit by the buckle in the back. All in all, very excited to have this.

Werent these headsculpts “glued” onto that to prevent this sort of thing from happening
No they aren't. There's a magnet on that small plastic post that's supposed to help keep it on.

Each of my headsculpts were actually really tight on the posts. So much that it was incredibly difficult to get them off that I was worried about messing up the hair trying to get it off. I had to slowly wiggle and shimmy it off with a decent amount of force. I guess some ppl at the factory shoved them onto that little post a little firmer than others.

Is there any indication that customs could have gone through this at all?
No customs indicators at all. In fact, the black inart tape was completely intact everywhere as was the shrink wrap on the internal joker box. I think it was probably just rushed out the door.

I got two good heads and all the correct arms and legs with no damage, so I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth ;)

Hopefully, they'll get their delivery kinks and QA issues worked out by the time they're ready to ship the Pattinson batman.

I’d say they should have used magnets to keep the heads in place in those but haven’t the magnets been falling out too? I imagine Viper sitting in as room with a nearly dried up bottle of superglue putting all these together…
