So jumping in the water as a reaction to save Dinn counts as “ Bathe in the waters “

Does Bo really want to keep the helmet on all the time now
She will if it means getting a bunch of insane cultists to lay down their lives for her lust for power, yes.

It was ironic …wasn’t it Bo’s so called “ new home “ destroyed and then she is accepted to the Creed

I wish Boba would take the creed and we'd never have to see Tem's face again too.

Save Tem's face for whenever he's Rex in the Ahsoka show or doing his Stan Lee/Clone cameos in whatever other spinoffs there'll be.

I'm now picturing Boba in his bacta tank wearing only his Depends diaper and his helmet. :lol

That would be fine if it was at least a few decades of peace... the republic stood for what? 1,000 years before the empire took over, the new republic starts failing IMMEDIATELY and within 20-30 years is utterly defeated due to stupidity.
There were many directions one could the story after ROTJ, many possible adventures both small and large scale that do not undo the achievements of the past. Disney opted for reset which required undoing everything that came before to facilitate.
Yes, but then George went backwards and did the PT instead of doing just that. When Disney got the property no one complained about the prospect of finally seeing Luke, Leia and Han again but alas they were well past their prime and the stories & execution weren't up to snuff. Even so most people forgave TFA's blatant copying of ANH's plot points, but TLJ's divisive depiction of Luke was a bridge too far. So while the criticism of Disney is deserved, it all started with George.

for the past several days I was super excited that the episode was going to be nearly an hour!! Opening chase with great action, cool Mando ship, OT TIEs and it was off to a great start . . .

What the hell did I just watch for the middle 45 minutes??

Ending took a slight turn with Bo, but other than the opening, very disappointed.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that almost all of the aliens have weird , large , hands and they all have human feet? :D I mean the Mon Calamari guy at the end was wearing a size 9 mens white loafer for god's sake. LMAO!
Why you looking at their feet?

Well, I liked it. The Mando bookends were alright. Decent enough action, but a lot of hand-waving past things just to keep it moving. Now, the Mando band is back together and Bo knows a secret. Hopefully that leads to some interesting developments moving forward. The whole Mandos-in-a-cave thing does seem a little cult-like, kind of like...the Jedi. :)

That mid-section on Coruscant. It makes a good case that there should be an anthology-style series running next to these "big story" shows like Mando and Ashoka that explores what's going on with other parts of the galaxy and other people. It would be a great way to augment the overall story and fill in a lot of blanks without knocking the main shows off their stride. I'd watch....

And I gotta say it. The only super distracting thing for me this season is...this show is looking really cheap. The volume is staring to look as bad as old-style, rear projection. Shots look assembled, not organic. They don't blend well and it just looks shoddy. Just surprising that this flagship show is where corners look like they're being cut.

Fan-splaining. :mwaha

Just having fun with my new catchphrase. But seriously, this is why anyone at Lucasfilm still has a job. None of us could accept the story was over.

I liked the idea of smaller stories like what we saw in Season 1 of The Mandalorian, it felt like the grand saga was properly over and now we were just taking a jaunt "in-universe", but of course there's no way Disney or any other corporation with its hooks in this property, was ever going to let anything lie. My ex summed it up when she cited her exhaustion with the property: "It's just endless war, WTF?"

Indeed.

I always saw the series as - and I could be wrong, or just projecting - this is the hero's journey for Mando.
Hero needs to be broken down and rises again e.g. like Tony Stark.

Or, at least that's what I was fascinated about with Din D'jarin's character - just this everyman whose world view has been derailed. He's still wrestling with that. The series has raised some interesting issues. Like when Boba is dismissive about Mando's creed but still thinks it's a good thing.

IMO he's still in the middle of that mental journey. Then there's the Child upending everything. Since the Darksaber still knows in his heart, Mando is "unfocused" I'm looking forward to the whole arc, however things land for Mando.

Have no doubt Favreau is giving some nods to the ST - whether it's because who signs the checks or whatever, but hoping this series timeline wise winds up (I always thought 5 seasons would be good, time enough for a solid arc that would be rewatchable) before the timeline gets anywhere near Rey & co.
Have no doubt there'll be some crossovers and some spectacular end battle. And then Din D'jarin and Child can walk off into the sunset, Western style. Meanwhile, I'm having fun. So far.

And while I may be in the minority, I hope there isn't much more Luke/Skywalkers/Ahsoka, I wasn't into this series for character re-use and deepfakes.

But she was Death Watch before she switched allegiances and broke off with the Nite Owls.
Being part of the Children of the Watch isn't anything new, really.

It’s more than likely ..this was the “ Pedro is working on TLOU series so we have to figure out the plot for Ep 3 “ episode ..I’ve never seen him miss so much of an episode in all 3 seasons like this…something was definitely up on how it was filmed

HBO/MAX …You were on John’s hit list
