That is just awful. How can they get the 66 car so right and this one so wrong? That cockpit shape, the drooping turbine front, the wheels, the sticking out headlights, the weirdly rounded rear wheel area. Toy Biz did a better job of it with less time and resources in 1989
You’re saying this is better?

Neither are incredibly accurate but at least the new one is detailed, has a canopy and looks pretty cool. I’m sure they made some compromises to get a 7” figure to fit easily.

Is it really the 89 Batmobile, or the updated one in The Flash? I know the new one has revisions since it got partially destroyed in Batman Returns.

It is based on the Flash version but as seen by pictures from the set, the general shape of the car has not changed.

Yeah OT I am happy to say the Toy Biz one is better. It might lack a canopy and some side details but it has 2 seats and replicates the shape and proportions better. It is unashamedly a toy more than a replica but strikes a better balance between the two.

The Kenner Dark Knight Collection version is still the superior version to them all.

Spinmaster has one for the 4inch line that looks promising and looks to be a two seater too. Hopefully it is as good as their The Batman one from last year.

I hope some customizers’ll make upgrade kits for this. A new canopy is a must.

Oh crap, I can't unsee that now. :lol

I wonder why they made those changes to the design?

Anyway, I will most likely get it, but it's a bit disappointing that they chose to make it inaccurate.

The canopy, I can understand because maybe they want to fit those giant 7 inch figures, but the turbine makes no sense, unless it has some kind of gimmick?

This is the Spinmaster one for the 4 inch figures. I was wrong in that it is a single seater but still they were able to have a more accurate canopy and overall shape. If the McFarlane one was this upsized, it would be a winner.

I mean I just assumed the raised canopy was a practicality thing for the clearance of Batman’s ears.

Looks better than in that original photo but still not really as good as it could of been.

The figure looks nice though.

Once upon a time, McFarlane was known for the best likenesses in the business.

That was a long time ago.

I'm very disappointed. Nothing about that figure indicates it's based on Michael Keaton, or any real live actual person. Just looks like a comic book Batman.

The botched canopy on the Batmobile is too egregious for me to excuse. It looks like a character from Pixar's "Cars".

Hopefully Muff Toys makes some replacement heads for these figures. The ones they did for The Batman were amazing.
I definitely want that Keaton figure, but a new head sculpt is a must
