It's low stock warning basically everywhere so I wouldn't wait for the video reviews.

I remember after seeing the season 2 finale and this guy going up for pre-order I was so excited, ordered first batch with DHL shipping. Not something I do very often.

So glad HT upgraded the sculpt. Now to see how long it takes Toyswonderland to get him to me lol.

Which version of R2 is that with him in the blogger pics?

This looks great! Happy for those who want this version of Luke.

But not something I need. I'm happy with and prefer my ROTJ Luke.

It's too clean to be the AOTC R2 that Hot Toys already announced. I wonder if this is a tease for an OT version, or even a Mando version.

It looks like (I own it), and I would assume the OT version they already released. It's not the TFA version as he was dirtier.

The AOTC version is basically the same as the OT version, just with 2 added accessories (boosters & cord for 3PO's head) and heavier weathering.

It's most probably this version of R2.

I completely forgot they did an OT version. Good call.

Tempted by the AOTC R2 but not if a new OT or Mando version was on the way.

Looks amazing but never liked the Jedi Luke look and his bowl cut haha. But it shows how that sculpt might look on the Bespin Luke, which I cannot wait for!

Wow, looks sooo much better than the early proto images, but seeing these pics now I actually prefer the original ROTJ version. Just cancelled my deluxe pre-order since it doesn't feel like an upgrade (to me), but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing everyone's in-hand pics!

I wonder that now the in hand pics have released …SS is going to get alot of preorders causing the low stock situation on the reg version to sell out . I ordered the non deluxe exclusive ..so I think if people are still on the fence…don’t sit it on it too long…I think the low reg stock is going to waitlist first this week and then I see the exclusive non deluxe also selling out going to waitlist..so then all that is left is the deluxe for of course the raised prices and extra droid accessory that people are passing on

Being blogger photos isn’t it likely what that blogger had in their collection vs something supplier by Hot Toys?

Blogger photos are from people HT send the figures out to early for photographs rather than in house promotional photography that they do with prototypes… or have I had that wrong all this time?

No, you have it right. But HT has also teased new products in blogger photos before, if I'm not mistaken. I just assumed they were showing off a new prototype because I completely forgot HT did an OT version of R2 before.

Looks good but I’ve got both Jedi Luke figures already so this one really isn’t a necessity. I’d only get it if I could get a good deal on it.

I have a fairly strict "one figure per character" rule, but I'm breaking it for this one. I just think this is such an improvement over the ROTJ figure that it's worth double dipping on and replacing my original Jedi Luke. Hopefully you can find that deal eventually.

Is this really that different from their ROTJ figure though? If I had the ROTJ one, I would just grab the cloak, sculpt and maybe the tunic from this so you have the best of both.

I did the opposite and grabbed the outfit + cloak from the ROTJ release. Almost got the sculpt as well out of fear that this release would look like the prototype but thankfully I didn't since they improved it for production.

I want to see the fancy DX box.
