And you can guess which one of these men is viper

Other than the issue with the sculpts, I really do like the set. It feels high quality and the tailoring, especially the purple coat, is wonderful.

Awful…not Kit’s fault, obviously Inart is to blame and both of you are at their mercy…to pay 1k for a figure and have it arrive that way and then to wait indefinitely in the hope that the manufacturer will replace it…what a nightmare!

So thankfully, I have both sculpts :yess:

In other news, HT shotgun does not work with the one trigger hand that comes with the InArt figure. Not that it should, but it would’ve been cool. I wonder if one of the TopoToys hands works with the shotgun 🤔

Also, definitely more blown away by the headsculpts now that I’ve gotten a better look at them. Might not be as amazing for those that have had some of the killer custom sculpts throughout the years, but yea, the hair work alone is pretty awesome. Skin texture detailing is very nice, but you can really only make it out on the neck. I think when we get our first normal painted headsculpt (like Gandalf or Pattison Wayne) the paint work and level of headsculpt detailing may be easier to see in pictures. I thought I’d like the smirking, messier sculpt more, but I think I prefer the cleaner mob scene look actually. I think if the smirking sculpt was even messier and closer to the interrogation look, then it would be my favorite. Last note on the heads, not seeing the oversized/bobble head look in hand thankfully.

Definitely need to be careful when taking off the rear panel to move the eyes on your first go. The product they used for styling the hair might have lightly joined the overlaying hair with the panel hair, so you don’t want to accidentally pull too hard and then rip out the hair unintentionally. Just keep slowly pulling each part as they peel away from each other.

EDIT: also, redressing is definitely the way to go. I got the shoulders to look more square and less slumped by doing so. I didn’t completely disrobe the figure though. Just the jacket/coat and vest. Fixed the shirt collar and tie. The tie has a buckle at the back that you loosen or tighten. Then put the head on to get the the neck and tie fixed. Then vest, sports coat and finally the purple coat. Although you can’t really see them, the suspenders are a really nice touch that I’m glad they included.

EDIT 2: definitely not a fan of the magnetic base. Yes the magnets are strong! but unless you put it in the exact right spot, with both feet completely connecting to the base, he’ll want to fall forward or backward. And even when I found that spot, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving it without fear of it falling over. It’s a cool concept but needs work.

From pics (and my initial unboxing), I really wrote off the jail cell dio. Could I do without it? Yes. But it is definitely a quality item that would inhance the second sculpt and body for sure if you have the display space for it

I received my Standard Joker yesterday as well, took less than a week to get here from OSK. Thanks @Kit Chen!

I have to spend some more time with him, but overall I really like how he turned out. So far I only futzed the coat and collar, I haven't undressed him completely yet. But the clothing already fits very well right out of the box. I also want to open up the hair strands a bit as was shown in one of InArt's video.

Some random first impressions:
  • I love the overall proportions, they look very realistic.
  • The tailoring is very good, the wire in the coat helps a lot with posing.
  • It's really night and day compared to the DX11, which is clearly showing its age. I will be selling him asap.
  • While I like the sculpt a lot, the weakest part for me are the moveable eyes. It takes away so much of the realism. I'll see if I can get them to sit more flush with the eyelids.
  • I don't use stands, so I can't comment on that whole situation. But he poses and stands quite sturdy IMO, the ankles don't feel weak.
  • The hand poses are great, they have a lot of character and really add to the realism. I would liked to have some more expressive/open left hands, but it's a minor nit.
And some pictures I just took! The comparison is with the DX11 with a custom MJ Choi sculpt.

Wow! Beautiful shots! It looks amazing imo, from the paint job, likeness, accessories and tailoring. By far the best Heath Ledger Joker 1/6 figure right now on the market. Mine is on it's way from TNS and I can't wait! Thanks for the great photos! :)

I'm wondering if @Kit Chen might have sent my rooted set accidentally despite still having $500 left to pay. If that's the case I can pay the remaining amount immediately.

Got a notice from DHL of something arriving from Hong Kong on Tuesday and no idea what it could be. Everything else is accounted for. :dunno

if theres one thing i learnt with hot toys and sideshow.

qc problem? more like, i see opportunities for free goodies

so far it doesn't seem like inart is generous compared to hot toys and sideshow, if they're sending out JUST magnets for people who have magnet issues instead of sending full bodies or hands to customers that have defects. they gonna send me glue too to glue the magnets in? what if i don't have e600? lol sounds stupid, but they should be prepared for these type of things. hot toys doesn't use nearly as much magnets like inart's first figure, but id imagine companies don't want their customers needing to put in additional work to fix their "broken" figure that they received.

Crappy mobile phone pic, but here's Joker next to a couple of Hot Toys (granted non-stock HTs, but all my figs are modded in some way) if anyone is interested to see. Joker's colors really stand out in a collection. I cannot wait to get my purple coated Joker figure corrected as I think it's the more impressive figure and cooler look.

Your order number pls? I will surely bill you the rest remains!

DHL delivers fast and sometimes ahead the original expected delivery date. Somehow, they decided to really stick to the delivery date for next week on my Jokor by putting the transit on hold a few times.
