I have to say that I'm not really impressed with the head sculpt... I don't think they captured Jeri Ryan. The shape of the eyes seems wrong, the head is too narrow, the hair too tall, she's missing the dimple in her chin...

I got my 7 of 9, and there are some issues. I think the head sculpt and costume are fantastic, but the elbow and knees of this seamless body are a little troublesome. They’re stiffer than I expected (I have a few TBLeague seamless figures, which I’m impressed by) and one of her knees pops back at the furthest bend, instead of holding the position.

The ankles are loose; they slide up and down on the extensions to make her the right height. It’ll be hard to try to fix that since her costume is attached to the bottom of her feet.

Visually, it’s exactly the 7 I’ve been waiting for, but it’s far from perfect for posing options.

However, I’m a fairly forgiving collector- especially when it comes to Star Trek- but I could see plenty of folks being disappointed after such a long wait.

Me? I’m ready for Chakotay!

Just opened my Seven a few minutes ago and have to say they knocked it straight out of the galaxy! Far exceeds what I expected! While it's not perfect on every level - and I haven't been completely impressed by all of EXO-6's releases - Seven turned out pretty great! Weird thing is I never really watched Voyager or had much personal investment in the Seven character, but felt this would be an interesting figure, so I went for it. Glad I did because I can see where all of the innovations went making it one of their best to date.

I can really see how the unique body paid off because the whole figure feels substantial in hand and accurate to the character. It poses nicely - in generally relaxed static poses rather than dynamic - and the proportions are very natural. Female 1:6 bodies tend to be horrible, even some Phicen, but this is one of the most natural and realistic bodies I’ve ever seen. I wish the body was available for purchase on it’s own because I’d swap it for many different female figures in my collection.

The material of the suit feels like a very high quality - it’s well knit and soft, but also likely prone to snags. The tailoring is great for a one-piece body suit with no irregular seams, bunching up or gathered areas. It’s stitched up along the back in a relatively discreet way, not perfect, but well enough that the seam is almost invisible and doesn’t look cumbersome with the material at this scale. The suit fits like a fine glove over the body.

Nanjin recently talked about the way they trained for makeup application and if this figure is an example of their innovation in that area I can see the results. The paint on the face is amazing! It’s soft and subtle but nuanced in a very natural way, as if it was real actor’s makeup. All of the paint apps are crisp and clean, well defined without any sloppiness.

A few cons: The head doesn’t connect to the neck in a very nice way - there’s a bit of double chin and the seam at the neck is very thick. This area could have used some better tooling because it’s all very noticeable. However, I’ll let is slide because it doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the figure. The head sculpt could use some work around the eyes (need to be bit bigger) and the paint on the hair could benefit from some variation rather than being a straight coat of brass colour. It does appear to have some delicate shades of pink and grey mixed in, but not enough detail or definition to keep it from looking like a mop of brass. That’s just me being finicky - almost looking for something to dislike. I’m actually quite generous around head sculpts and various incidental details because it's more important that a figure feels like the character has come to life in 1:6 form. That's often an ephemeral thing that's hard to grasp or easily measured by any scrutinous detail assessment. Accuracy of various disparate details can still lead to a figure feeling flat and uninspiring. EXO-6’s Seven overcomes most of that and really does feel alive.

Mine seems to be fine. The elbows and knees are quite tight with what feels like those clicking ratchet joints so I won't force them. There's a lot of solid rubber (or whatever the material is) surrounding those joints and it feels tougher than Phicen silicone. You have to be slow and gentle when bending those limbs - I found holding the upper arm firmly while bending the forearm helps to ease the ratchet joints through clicks. The knees are similar but don't seem to have much range at all - I can get about 10˚ of bending before the outfit buckles at the knee and the joint feel strained. I'm just not going to test this for any reason when there isn't a pose that requires such dynamism at the knees. The ankles are very delicate and weak and mostly amplified by the comparative stiffness of joints elsewhere. I found the wrists to be similarly very loose also. I'm guessing the ankles and wrists are a very different material from the rest of the body which is strong, solid and stiff. The two differing materials don't connect well for a seamless feel or sense of integrity throughout the figure. It's like mixing apples and oranges and perhaps something like metal pegs (like Phicen uses) would have been more consistent through this unique body's build.

Never got a ship notice for Seven, but she arrived today. No pics have done this figure justice. She is amazing in person. Full silicon body likeness with ratchetted joints. Nice and heavy. Great facial likeness in person. Incredible suit. Just amazing!

Had to make to time to open her. Glad I did cuz she's awesome! No issues with mine at all, I love her! ❤️ Never thought I'd have a 7 of 9 in this scale.
Can't wait for the others. Thank you, Nanjin

This must be a really big deal for fans of Seven. I wouldn't quite know the feeling because I never watched much Voyager and have no particular stake in the character. However, I'm still wowed by the figure that I received today!

Curious to know, for a Seven fan, would you have preferred a different look, a different colour suit or hair style? Every fan must have their favourite period/season/episode and look of the character.

For me this was the best choice of outfit for her, although the silver would have been fun to have as well if Nanjin had been able to execute it properly. But sounds like that just wasn't possible.
I'm looking forward to seeing your touch-ups to the head sculpt, davejames.

I don't have her yet (she's reached my State, though) but I think she may benefit with a tweak to the eye make-up, based on pics.

Fun question. Voyager is my least-fave of the 24th-century Treks, but Seven and the EMH are my favourite characters from it. I had originally intended to skip Voyager altogether in my EXO plan (I have very limited space and DS9 & ENT get top priority), but once I learned more about what went into producing Seven, I nabbed one of the last POs on BBTS. Couldn't leave that kind of dedicated craftsmanship on the table when I already like the character on top.

I know they ditched the silver suit after a couple eps due to poor Jeri Ryan fainting in the bloody thing, but it would still be my top preference for an action figure that doesn't have lungs to inflate lol, it just looks cool as hell and well-suited (no pun intended) for the cyberpunk lighting aesthetic that most of my collection is displayed in.

That being said, the purple suit is the only other one I would've considered if I were Exo-6 as well, so I'm quite stoked to get my Seven one day. Beyond that, I would've liked a hair-down option as an alt head, but I wouldn't consider that essential at all either. :)

I sort of know what you mean - the eyes are a bit small and too puffy making it look like she just woke up, and they protrude a little too much from the face. It didn't bother me because the likeness feels right. I look at it and know exactly who it's supposed to be. In some lighting conditions the sculpt looks really great and relatively perfect, but I suppose it should look equally great in all conditions and angles.

Mine says it was delivered today but no where to be found- now the loooong waiting game of hoping Exo6 can help me get this sorted out :( happy thoughts happy thoughts

Nice to hear from you, NE…. Been a while!

I think this season of Picard as her in the Red Command suit as Commander as gotten high positive reviews as both Shaw and Picard has mentioned to Seven: “In no time that you will be in command of your own ship”. Hopefully that this version of Seven will be made (either a Raider version will do for those that want it).

There’s that full Borg Drone version of Annika that was done during the two parter while going in collaboration with Mulgrew against Species 8472. That version will blend well with the Alcove and the upcoming Locutus.

I’m glad that this version of Seven got made for those that wanted it, but it still looks off to me personally.

Shaw wasn’t being sincere though he said it to get a point across to her.

I’m hoping for a Commander Seven figure too, in fairness there’s a growing number of figures from Picard season 3 on my radar - whether they get produced and whether they then make it onto my PO list will depend on once the episodes are all out.
