That's it. It comes with that plastic piece attached inside, and blocking the eyes movement. By pulling it out (it has a bit of glue, but comes off with a bit of work), you can move the eyes much better and give him a natural side-eyed look. Loving him at this point, despise the obvious faults.

He's looking good there. Excellent pose.

Does anyone have any advice on the best technique for darkening the hair? (If there's a technique for the unskilled and sausage-fingered, that would be best!)

Get an alcoholic marker and use a paper towel you can color the hair with the paper towel underneath the strips of hair. Just be careful at the base of the hair/head.

Love that pose and appreciate your feedback. This is the first time I’ve felt any optimism for this release.

Thank you! I've got some gray Sharpies that should do the trick nicely! (Don't want to start with black in case that's too dark.)
Yeah I did something similar with green markers on my 89 Joker when I haired him. Just be careful at the base of the hair where it meets the skull. I'd let the hair absorb the marker and as it get closest to the skull so not to hit it with the sharpie.

Will do! Thanks again!

Hopefully he gets shipped soon.

Swapping out Smeagol's legs and his bumb came off.

Easy fix though. Hair dryer is definitely a must when it comes to the leg swap though.

The instructions say clearly that it needs heath to fit. They recommend putting them in hot water, which I did.
Thats fine, but Heath Ledger has been dead for some time. I cant see how he would be of any assistance. :(

The review looks good, for some reason it becomes more orangey in some lights and loses its "texture and detail" making it look like a cheap toy but when he is unboxing it, it looks good. I'll wait for a review in more consistent light to see if Ill buy the set or just 1.

Well paid my invoice. I figure worse case if I don't like the Gollum in Person I can sell him and I still come out with Smeagol and the beautiful diorama base.
Just hoping that Gollum portrait looks better in person. Because I was planning to use him with my Hobbit Bilbo display. 🤞

I watched a review of this set on YouTube yesterday.
It does look like a damn neat set.
If it's the same review I saw last night, and it likely is, I also thought the whole set looked really good. I wasn't that interested at first with getting either or both Gollum figures, but now based on what I watched, I might go for that deluxe set.

The one I watched was the Diego one.
