Digging the packaging with the foam and inserts. Reminds me of old DX releases but then I remembered that this is a DX release.

Still super lame of them to not include the standard base with the deluxe version. :ohbfrank:

Agreed but I'm covered - I wanted to display her with and without the cloak so I have one of each on order. :)

Holy crap what’s up with that great articulation with a seamless body that was crazy never seen that before i had to rub my eyes lol

Even the torso had articulation!
B/c the seamless areas of the body are silicone now instead of rubber like HT used to use. More durable than rubber, and allows for a greater range of motion without as much damage to occur similar to Phicen/TBLeague bodies. Though, the potential for damage and cracking will depend on the care of the figure and conditions that it's displayed in still. And of course, if you leave the arms bent for too long, you still have a chance of the elbows splitting. It's still new tech for HT though that they just rolled out for '84 WW, so we don't know it's real longevity and durability just yet.

It says low stock for both versions at sideshow so I went ahead after watching the unboxing video just a minute ago and put my order in. I won't miss this one and I actually want the new Grogu to pair with Mando as we are finally getting some articulation with him even if it's simple.

found out the legs on her pull down for more extreme posing

Odd choice that the lightsabers don’t light up. Figured being a DX they’d keep that feature.
I think they’re too slender for electronics is the reason; I remember even in the behind the scenes content for the show, they talked about what a challenge it was to make them illuminate.

And on the figure, with the seamless body and sleeves up to the bicep, couldn’t hide the electronics in the arms either.

I agree about the lightsabers not lighting up but not a huge deal. This release was announced before they started making the sabers USB powered like how Obi Wan, Darth Vader and Baspin Luke and other characters will have moving forward. If they do make another Ahsoka from her own D+ show most likely we'll get the light up usb powered lightsabers.

It has a very clean look. And a bit of ninja-ness. Strange how star wars is a space western that also has space samurai and space ninjas, with full orchestra music playing on the theme of world war 2.

I feel the cheeks are a bit sunken in and the nose is a bit too slim, and I wish they'd apply a few more layers of white paint on her face as they're a bit dull.

Overall though, this figure is amazing. The details are all perfect, The body looks great and I'm happy it got the silicone treatment. The cloak sits very nice unlike most HT cloaks and capes which is very surprising, I put my order in this morning and cant wait to have her in.

Yeah the movable eyes is really critical here - I imagine it's a Keaton Batman situation where there's not much head rotation due to the Lekku so the eyes have to compensate.

Tailoring and detailing on the costume is really, really exquisite on this release too I think. More from the blogger photographers:
