Well, for those of us that got closed out, still crickets. And I’m salty over the chrome close out, too. Howard Chan and SSC, you have earned the wrath of my displeasure. Jerks

I’ll be interested if any other stock is made available after fulfilling POs. Could go either way at this point.
Yeah, this is interesting because it’s basically the first to release out of all those figures that started going to waitlist way early. Might be a good indication if all these other waitlisted figures are gone for good or not.

With the Clones about to be shipped out soon, I do hope everyone can get what they want. I did what I could to help some people out with ordering but it did seem like availability was a bit scarce from the get go in the US.

Some waitlist slots at Sideshow should convert since cancellations will be inevitable and the figure may be in stock for a bit as well. There are also international options.

But it’s not something I would risk sleeping on either way. I doubt they made as many of these as past troopers.

Best of luck everyone. May the Force be with you.

I switched mine to payment plan.

If these arent actually released yet im not interested in giving them money for 2 figures i wont see shipped for 2 weeks.

They'll be made available, no way they won't let an army building stick around for at least a little bit.
I think these might be it for this release to scare us into preorders. Make a small batch and then slam us with variants. I do think we will get a 2.0 with new weathering or something very quickly, similar to how we got the kenobi 501. I can’t wait to see it. Mine is on flex so I won’t get it for a while.

Kenobi 501st sort of makes sense because the armor is different, even though there are more important Clones they could’ve made. It wasn’t a back to back re-release of the same 501st figure.

Similarly they could make an Andor Clone with the new armor, but I wouldn’t expect them to make a PT/TCW/TBB based plain white Clone again for a while. They’ve got a lot of Clones to do. And as far as army builders go, the 212th deserve to be next.

I’ve no interest in the new Clone armor figures personally. I don’t want to mix them with the other Clones. Won’t bother everyone so I’m sure they’ll sell fine. They’re just not for me though.

HT did tease Andor clone in AT-RT pics so I think they were waiting on shiny to release before announcing it.

What difference does Andor clone have?

It would be based on the new live action suit designed by Ace Cosplay.

I understand the challenges of making them physical props for the first time but not really a fan of the design changes; some of which feel unnecessary.

Sideshow just removed the funds from my account, now the waiting game to see how long it takes for them to be shipped.

Every now and then I make the mistake of thinking too hard about the PT.

"Giant mysterious army? Sure, we'll just use it, what could possibly go wrong?

Wait, these are sentient beings cloned and raised with no agency whatsoever, genetically modified to be compliant war machines, their lives meant to be spent by the millions in a brutal high tech military conflict?

No problem!"

... gotta say ... from my point of view, the Jedi are evil. :chase

Tell me about it. There is an undercurrent of authoritarianism to the Jedi, you get the sense that they would go too far in order to hang on to their status in the Republic, but this is left vague and unclear in the actual movies.

And don’t get me started on Count Dooku being a “political idealist, not a murderer.” Ok, what are his ideals? What are his grievances against the Republic? What is the entire public motivation for the Separatist movement that starts the war in the first place?

I love these movies, but the storytelling is…..clunky. GL is a filmmaking and worldbuilding genius, but as a dramatist, he needs help.

CANNOT WAIT TO GET SOME SHINY CLONE FIGURES, THOUGH.

They’re kind of dealing with an aspect of this in Bad Batch season 2 because it turns out that Clones have absolutely no rights or representation in the galactic senate/empire. They’re legally viewed as military assets.

The galaxy far far away is not a particularly ethical place but boy do we love those laser swords.

I’m not a huge fan of the Jedi personally, but the vast majority did have a problem with it ethically and morally. They just didn’t have a choice. And it was part of Palpatine’s machinations that put them in that impossible scenario.

I wish Lucas had done a better job of exploring that within the PT. Seeing countless sentient beings perish in war and ordering so many to their deaths must’ve weighed heavily on the Jedi that cared. That should’ve been enough for some of them to lose it and try to stage a coup against Palpatine like he wanted instead of Anakin just telling Windu Palpatine is a Sith Lord.

It’s debatable whether or not the Jedi were good generals overall or were fit to lead instead of trained military commanders. But the Republic didn’t have a military or an officer corps that large or experienced. And it’s likely many non Jedi officers would’ve seen the Clones as even more expendable than those Jedi who sought to protect life at all costs.

The Jedi are the ones that encouraged individuality within the Clones. Like Yoda says in TCW, they saw each as having a different presence within the Force. Had the war not been a sham and a plot to destroy them, they most likely would have championed for Clones to have proper rights and benefits in retirement as Senator Chuchi is doing.
