It's great to see Coruscant clone still able to maintain their iconic crimson insignia despite the their peers had been stripped down to only imperial white color.

I’m gonna assume most here didn’t enjoy this one, but it was a good episode for Tech and Omega to bond in, since he’s never really taken much of an interest in her or understood her.

And his chat with Omega pretty much confirms that he is on whatever the Star Wars version of the austim spectrum is.

I enjoyed it. And it looks like we're on the start of an arc here. We'll also probably see whether or not Cid will pull through for them or not (as was hinted at during that racing episode).

It wasn't bad. Its actually kind of refreshing to see a main character leave a show, and the remaining ones actually have a reaction and miss them. Usually its a big "Oh well.... anyway..." and the show moves on, never mentioning them again. Echo's loss is a huge one for the team from a logistical standpoint, I am wondering if some other clone is going to step in to fill the gap.

Tech's response to Omega's obvious distress was pretty well done for a cartoon show, I think.

Cid: die in a fire you Trandoshan b.....

Wrecker: Are you ACTUALLY one of the three stooges, you had ONE job..... jeeeezus dude

At least this week the gang had a mission and they - again - succeeded! I was getting sick of seeing them for instance, get the jewels and then lose every last one of them.

Unless I greatly miss my guess, steal stuff from a bunch of Commandos and a shebs-kicking will be incoming in fairly short order. We shall see.

I waited until today to watch the last two weeks and was pleasantly surprised. A good balance of story, something for the kids and some character development. The youth labor camp was an interesting riff on "Oliver" - was waiting for the kid to ask the boss. "please sir may I have some more?"
The "wildebeest" stampede had me looking for Simba...it is a Disney show after all so I guess they can get away with riffing on themselves.

There were good character moments in these. Omega actually wasn't a complete Mary Sue (well, almost) and it was nice to see Tech have some interactions that showed off his "worldview". But poor Wrecker. He's in danger of becoming very one-note on this show.

But seriously...I liked the art in these two. And the story is moving along - no "filler" here.

I kinda did not like this last one as much since I felt this is a story that has been overtold already.

This show really tests patience. 3 or so decent episodes out of like 10. I know it is for kids but I think with so much better programming available would even they watch it given choice.
Then why are you, an adult, still watching it when you have that choice?
If it wasn't for cool looking clones I doubt anyone would be so passionate about the show
Nah I just like the show, and I have different expectations for this show compared to shows like Andor and The Mandalorian.

I’ll give you a bad batch

Yeah its not been a very good season at all. That's why I stopped watching the show a few episodes back. Once it's finished and all the episodes are available, I might go back and watch the good ones. Ones like that Crosshair episode.

To the first point: I watched the first 3 episodes and only liked the 3rd. I stopped watching until after reading the praise a couple episodes got here i decided to watch episodes 4-10 this past 24 hours and well, a few good moments mostly in 2 decent episodes. The rest is tedious.

To the second point: I get that, I have no issue with folk enjoying the show, I just expect good effort to be put into kids entertainment. The issue with bad Star Wars isn't kid targeted vs adult targeted, it is bad writing/acting/direction/production value etc vs good writing/acting/direction/production value etc. You can have multiple genres, tones and target audiences, so long as it is well made it doesn't matter.

The Bad Batch has a high ratio of lazy writing, cringe, filler and dumb moments vs great writing, cool moments etc etc etc. I want things to improve, for kids entertainment to actually raise the bar for once. Instead it is too often lowest common denominator with brief flashes of brilliance.

Maybe you're better off just waiting until its finished, then seeing which episodes may interest you.

I dunno about that, there's some pretty good writing and character development in this show especially this season, and overall consensus between Star Wars fans is largely positive if you look anywhere beyond this forum. They're mercenaries so we see them do mercenary stuff, with 16 episodes there's time for "filler" episodes, which I enjoy because we're getting to see more of the galaxy and the characters growth (like Tech). They could easily cut it down to 8 episodes and just focus on the main plot, sure, but I much prefer it as is.

I'd put this show leagues ahead of BOBF and Kenobi, and I'd hardly call it lazy.

Of course. Disney knows what they have here 😎 thats why they keep making shows about them.

Im enjoying things like Tech becoming closer friends with Omega. Its so sweet.

Wrecker needs to pull up his socks and get with it, imo. Stop klutzing around.

BoBF and Kenobi are a pretty low bar...... it is ok if you like the filler etc and I am not arguing against character moments like that between Tech and Omega, I am just saying that we could get that AND more with better writing etc.
Its like I am saying that this McDonalds is pretty bad and I list off issues like the salad in burgers being rotten and the fries soggy etc but the folk who are at the table with me say "hey, the McFlurry is awesome and the drinks are all perfectly ice cold. You could just not eat McD's" to which I am responding that other McD's locations do better and that other brands like BK are miles better fast food and that we could keep the good ice cream and drinks etc and get better burgers and fries if we just put pressure on the place and demand better. The response is "I like the McFlurry and soggy fries as they are, I mean it is better than that Kebab shop 'Block of Kebaba Meat' where the meat is of questionable origin or that terrible asian takeaway 'Obi's WonTons' that gives you the runs".

I guess fresh salad and hot crispy fries are things we should not expect.

Agreed. I was surprised how much I liked it. And it was a bit of a shock to see that that Lama Su was still around.

Looks like we're finally getting into the main story arc. I really enjoyed this one as well.
