I don't think that's the issue - it's simply too big, especially at the shoulders. The seams for the sleeves are part way down her arm, not up at the shoulders like the prototype. Removing the liner or filler won't shorten the length from her neckline to the seams for those sleeves, it will just make the jacket fit looser and hand down even more. Maybe switching out the body for one with slightly broader shoulders and a larger bustline?

Bigger body won’t work considering the size of her head which to me already looks like its on the small side on this body. Maybe a generic leather jacket from aliexpress might make a good replacement?

I think I’m either just gonna pick up the dam head and this clothingset from Aliexpress or see if I can find the UBToys version for cheap. I don’t really care about her accessories as Leon already has most of them. They can share.

Figure is just too pricey for what it’s bringing to the table imo.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Unfortunately, she is licensed and it'll probably be the last licensed Claire we'll get in awhile.
If she were body swapped with maybe a TBL S18 (like I did with my UB Claire), it could fill up the shoulders a lot more. But that body looks odd without a jacket on it, so I'm not sure. Height wise the Dam sculpt should fit most TBL bodies though I would think.
It's just kinda wack though. We shouldn't have to customize s*** on a figure with this price. Least of all the jacket.

Gonna play devils advocate, Claire doesn’t look that bad. Sure it doesn’t live up to the prototype but haven’t seen a figure since that does. The big issue here is the jacket, but all the 3rd party alternatives I’ve seen don’t actually look any better imo.

The unfortunate situation is that despite our nagging ( me included) Lim have been pretty straight up about not doing 1/6 RE figures, maybe this could change their mind but I doubt it. to continue to get RE figures this line needs to do well.

For me personally I can live with a sub par Claire jacket if there are no better alternatives and Dam continues with RE figures. If a better jacket becomes a available I will deal with that then.

Jacket is whack but so is all the third parties and this is at least real leather. The sculpt and accesories are the best on the market and this whole thing is licensed so I'll take her after all. I think aside the clothes its pretty close to the proto. Will see what can I do with the jacket in hand. If nothing will hele, Ill just give her a better body and display in shirt.

Had they given Claire the mini gun she probably would have been nicer to display without the jacket. I don't understand why they gave Leon his final weapon but not Claire's.

I thought she was too small but the scaling is actually accurate on the Dam figure, she's pretty tiny in-game:




But I see now what you guys mean about the jacket, it really is way too big.

Waiting to see more in hand pictures and people's attempts to adjust or correct this before I cast my final judgment. Very underwhelming so far, and a real shame. About as egregious as their production failures on the Assassin's Creed figures hoods, but that spanned multiple figures. Maybe they'll offer a corrected replacement if the community voices enough disdain? Didn't they do so with the classic version and her legs?

They did, that was a ways off of being released, though. I doubt they will do anything with the jacket, it looks like the remake version is on the verge of making it to customers. Unless you're talking about a later replacement after the fact.

I meant after the fact replacement, I know some companies have done so to save face, such as threezero/3a in the past.

I dont think its bad enough for an uproar.

The sad thing is that the leather material, though a bit thick looking doesn’t even look all that bad. It’s the tailoring that’s just…. All over the place. Looks two sizes too big.

Can’t you make leather shrink with heat? Maybe this jacket got taken out of the oven too early?

Way too big and bulky and I don’t mind the color but the promo pics they jacket looks darker. Same with classic Leon the in hands pics his uniform is a bit bright. I’m also retouching the stitching on the jeans. That orange looking threading is a bit distracting.

This is why real leather isn't the answer to everything, it's hard to work with and rarely will it sit naturally on a figure, thank Capcom for her lifeless expression too and yeah we'd love to do 1/6 but doubt it'll ever happen, Capcom is seemingly starting to take action against unlicensed figures because they're unhappy with "fakes" well too bad we were turned down when we approached them years ago.

Damn... what a shame that they did that.. I'd give everything for Lim to do RE 1/6 ...

The BBICN forum isn't very happy either and are questioning whether the pre-order pics had even shown a leather jacket because it's so different.

Exactly why I'm glad I went for Classic. Yeah the jacket isn't great but saying the entire figure is bad is a stretch.
