Sideshow does tailoring well, but falls down elsewhere.

The video highlights how cheap the guns look, and the reviewer even described the sculpt as "cartoonish".

Still no definitive word whether this figure is actually sixth scale out of the box.

I'm not sold on this figure, but am holding out hope for Josey Wales since that's my favourite Eastwood western. Forrest Carter's original novel, and his sequel that came out in the year of the film, were also very good reads.

If only another company had got this license... (as long it wasn't Star Ace :monkey1).

Better still, without a license LiM Toys would blow this line into the long grass.

The sculpt is a tad cartoony alright, but it's still recognisingly enough Eastwood. The paint apps are SS real downfall, along with them 'cheapening out' and reusing their standard base figure body.
These Eastwood figures needed new bodies. They then could have sculpted the head and neck as one piece...Would've looked so much better...Pity.
I'm still looking forward to the figure though as there's lots to love:)

Sculpt looks good at certain angles with the right light. Not completely happy with that, but I can live with it. There are enough positives here. Price is still too high for what we get, but we can surmise the license wasn't cheap. Not an excuse; SS should have knocked it out if the park. Height; I'll have to see how he looks next to my Coomodel Blondie, Angel Eyes, and Tuco.

Guys

I wish SS also made a hatless Blondie.. here is one of my custom Blondies. I’ll probably get this SS version. I’ll show you guys after I get a full repaint and swapped body out. Don’t think I could live with the painted weird neck peg

Those Trevor Grove sculpts still hold up, and those are several years old. Honestly, they're still the one's to beat in my opinion.

Can not get past the cartoonish sculpts. These are just not realistic at all to me. Some features simplified and exaggerated. The more pics I see of them the more I know I would be upset if I got one thinking in hand might be better. SOME of the tailoring is also pretty bad (re: 21st Century Toys)

I think the SS version as a base to start is good but you would have to do a repaint and swap the body out adding $3-$400 to make it look like the prototype

Hello,

It's been a minute since I have posted here, but seeing licensed Blondie figures and statues from Sideshow after so long has prompted me to chime in. I will say it is great that finally we are getting all of these amazing Clint Eastwood characters coming to figure form. This character is what started my 1/6 collecting game many years ago with custom figures. Regarding SS Blondie, I am getting him and the PF looks really good but we all know the final results are always lacking. There are questionable decisions with this figure including the neck and materials but overall it is a good representation of the character and some of the clothing material looks decent. I haven't touched my customs in years but might try mix and matching to see how some of it looks. In my opinion, I still prefer Trevor and Scott's sculpts but for those entering this hobby and looking for a Blondie, this is a good licensed alternative. Or you can wait for the upcoming 3rd-party and see how those come out.
