It’s pretty ****** up that for the money spent we still have to mod the crap out of this figure to get it to look right.
It's not that bad. Sure, you have to carefully remove the excessive weathering, and put a wash on the gloves, and move the Darksaber hook to the opposite side, and dye the suit a different color, and get improved S2 pieces, and paint the spear chrome to match the suit, and...

...okay, it's a bit much. And you just know they'll release a Season 3 with improvements as soon as they can.

That Beskar spear seems to be the weak part of that Beskar Mando. Not convinced by paint app from the pics.Looks dull. Hopefully, it looks better in hands or else it will likely stay in the box.

i don't know how it looks in hand but all pics i've seen so far make it look very plasticky. I get it it's not meant to be reflective or shiny but i'm having a hard time simply seeing it as metal. I'll have to be patient for another few weeks before i can judge de paint on this with my own eyes.

I sort of agree. In hand, it looks and feels a bit plasticky. I’m afraid to remove the grime because it might look more that way.

There were some gunmetal sections on the Mark 47 that had some depth to them, so it's not as if HT can't execute a better finish. Not that this figure looks bad, it's just not ... quite ... there.

Got it. Hard to disagree there.

It is what it is, however, and what it is, is plastic. I think it works in context of the posing/photos though.

Seems like Hot Toys could have made the spear out of lightweight metal without breaking the budget however.

The tuning fork on his rifle should’ve also been diecast but honestly i’m not bothered by it….nope not at all…

It’s only $300+. It’s not like we’re paying top-dollar for accuracy and quality materials or anything. These are basically just bigger Black Series figures if you squint.

Got mine today from BBTS. Really terrific figure. I was considering doing a body swap with a Phicen M33, like I did with the Durasteel Mando, but I don't think he needs it; the stock body has good proportions and articulation.

The weathering isn't too bad on mine but I'm still going to use a Cape Cod cloth on it, though. My favorite look for Mando was ep5 of Book of Boba Fett, wherein his armor was polished to a mirror finish.

Hey Guys! I just got mine in from sideshow a couple days ago. Proportions on this look solid compared to the season one Beskar armor.

But I was wondering if any of you have any issues with small hairline scratches on the armor or small paint bubbles. After inspecting mine, I’ve got a handful of paint bubbles on the helmet and chest and just two very fine hairline scratches about 2-3mm on the chest. The scratches I can possibly live with tbh because they’re slightly hidden by the weathering. But if I plan on using the cape cod cloths in the future, does anyone know if they’ll remove the tiny hairline scratches?

other than that, the paint bubbles on the helmet are a turnoff. Wondering if that’s normal for this piece? I have an Endgame Iron Man that has some minor paint bubbles on the helmet and I regret not contacting Sideshow about it, but for this figure, if it’s a common QC mishap, I might consider leaving it be.

Anyway, I’d appreciate any input particularly about the bubbles or scratches on any of your Mandos. Again they’re not the most noticeable but they’re definitely there.

Thanks a bunch in advance!!
