I have no issues with it outside the length of the pants being added. Maybe the shirt also at the waist but that is about it. If the shirt sleeves get enough bunching up then no worries like I said before baseball sleeves should work perfectly. Plus these changes are more improvements then nitpicks. I think saying the body proportion should be changed is a nitpick.

I love that there's been nothing but minor nitpicks here and there - and we all know Lim is going to improve this even more before release, so I think this really has the potential to be one of the top releases ever produced. On par with anything Hot Toys has made, if not past it. When virtually everyone is happy - you know we're in for a treat.

I think the reason it looks slightly different is because Nate's always sort of slightly hunched over in the game. And in the promo photo he's standing straight.
I dunno, I'd say the proportions are pretty darn close.

The silhouette of his upper torso is perfection. The curve of his shoulders and arms is a home run.

I know it's subtle, but just a tiiiiny bit more padding to fill out the thighs and the calves to give them the same strong S-curve the arms have would really push it over the edge for me.

I honestly don’t get the nitpicks...

Like...has anyone SEEN what came before??

This effortlessly CRUSHES those. The only thing that would make this TOO perfect is if there was a “premium” version that came with a 3rd battle damaged portrait to go along with an additional battle damaged body.

In terms of ‘slightly off’ color of the shirt or waist size...like, let’s chill out and look at the bigger picture here folks😂. This looks phenomenal and I for one am grateful this is getting made in the first place. I passed on SSC and the other 3rd party attempts because they were just...trash.

I'm inclined to agree. This is sadly the downside of companies being generous by sharing so much information and being so present in the community. It unfortunately results in people being picky about the craziest things. I cannot see myself with this figure on the shelf in a year or so and being disappointed about the thigh size, waist size, shade of blue etc.

The only thing I'm a tad disappointed by is the lack of the cutlass from the final battle but like... we know why it wasn't included and it's really not that big of a deal either. This is far and away the greatest Nate figure we've gotten, and probably the only one we will get, and I'm forever grateful to @R_R_X and everyone at Lim for making this happen. Can't wait to display this beast on my shelf.

Agreed with you guys :hi5: And honestly, a lot of the nitpicks won't even be that noticeable at typical viewing distance. One thing that is always funny to me is when ppl start talking about making 1mm changes here and there when that change will literally only matter in high resolution, blown up pics, but in hand be pretty much the same if nothing was changed at all.

When it comes to the body itself (and RXX can correct me if I'm wrong), ppl have to remember that it probably isn't cost effective to engineer a brand new body for each new character. HT doesn't even do that. They mix and match parts from their wide array of body parts they have in their arsenal to make a "new" body unless it's something like the new Bane for instance. I'm pretty sure this body was made for both Joel and Nate and I wouldn't be surprised if it is then used for similar build characters in the future.

Exactly. I understand the desire to own THE MOST perfect figure of a beloved character. But some perspective is needed here. When I see pics of this figure, I don’t need to squeeze my eyes, I don’t need tilt my head, I don’t need to mentally fill in gaps to convince myself what I’m looking at is Nate...one look at this and it’s undeniably Nate. It’s just about perfect.

Seriously fellow collectors...let’s chill out with the nitpicks. There’s NOTHING egregiously ‘wrong’ with this figure. If it had obvious flaws like with HT DX19, then yeah it deserves ALL the nitpicks and criticisms.

But this ain’t it.

I, for one, only "complain" when it's already a good figure. If a figure looks bad, I just move on and forget about it. If the people making it don't care what it looks like, why should I? But when the figure already looks fantastic, that's when you know the people behind it are passionate, and that's when feedback is worth giving, because they'll be the ones more willing to hear it.

People have really got to stop treating nitpicking like it's an insult when it's the exact opposite.

I fully agree with you!
I passionate team probably prefers to be told what people perceive to be the minor flaws and imperfection that they can tweak and improve to make figure perfect.

I don't believe a great company like LIM wants to have smoke blown up their a**, they surely prefer to have constructive criticism and feedback.

As someone who works in a design field, I can tell you (at least from my perspective) that it doesn't feel like an insult, but it's certainly not always helpful to constantly critique something to no end. Everyone likes to think their input is helpful and for the better, but it just doesn't always work out that way.

It more or less just feels like the the client will never be happy, much like many ppl on this forum actually :lol I'm not saying to accept mediocrity, but everyone has to accept that there are some limitations be it by the company and/or the factory as well as interpretation differences like what the correct color is of something or what the proper build of a character is, etc. It's going to pretty much vary person to person. Like those pics where some ppl saw a blue dress or some other color or whatever that social media trend thing was.

EDIT: Lastly, there comes a time where you just have to stop revising and just release the product, otherwise it may never come out. Guaranteed, there will ALWAYS be someone that will say "if you could just change this or that one thing, it will be PERFECT!" but, no matter how much you cater to them, there will always be something else that could be done. TDK Joker is a perfect example of this. It could be a scan of Ledger himself and there will still be someone who says "no, it's off. So and so did it better. If they could just do ____ then it will be the perfect likeness" :dunno

So…just be happy it’s better than a previous version?
Nope, not good enough, and a bit disrespectful to the hard work they’ve put in.
People want something that won’t be improved on for a long time. Lim have put the time into being perfectionist on this with a macro focus, and perhaps a fresh set of eyes with a different perspective is helpful when it comes to them tweaking and improving it.
Nitpicks are fine, it means there’s barely any room for improvement.

Except it’s not just merely better than previous versions, it’s WAY better than previous versions that id go as far and say its disrespectful to nitpick waist size and leg girth. See what I mean?

Nate isn’t a character like superman or Batman or any other tights wearing superhero where the physique is intrinsic to the character. He’s just a normal human with a fit body that if you took the games character models of both Nate, Joel and swapped heads, I’m confident no one could tell the difference.

Here, let me try something:

Am I being nitpicky or helpful doing this?

“The figures legs are too long. He looks too heroic. I want it to look like how I remember him in part 1. Please shorten his legs Limtoys”

Reminder, those that did “request” or “nitpick” things and are reading this, PLEASE don’t take my opinion as smack talk or calling anyone in particular out. I and others are just trying to bring some perspective to things.

Personally, I wasnt expecting to see any nitpicks or any form of negativity towards this figure because it genuinely looks AMAZING, so it’s kind of mind boggling to see them at all.

I hope Lim just ignores nitpicks and nothing gets changed, especially his body/proportions or sculpt. I haven't seen such a globally loved release since Aragorn and even with Aragorn ppl complained so much... based on my experience usually ppl who complain don't buy anything. Not talking directly about anyone in this thread, just in general reading Chinese forums as well and as I said before, figure looks so good, people have nothing to complain about and they started inventing things.
I work as an enamel pin designer for last 6 years, I can tell that u can't pleasure everyone with your art and you don't have to,there always gonna be someone who needs changes. I always say NO to my customers, never failed any pin release tho. I trust and support artists,Lim did their best with this release. This is a best Nate 1/6 figure and we must be just grateful. At least I am. :rock :love

Bravo! Design by committee is usually not productive. If the creators are passionate, there probably isn’t much that hasn’t been considered, adjusted or tweaked within the practical spectrum. NOTHING is perfect. But someone will still feel compelled to tell Michelangelo that the hair on Mary doesn’t look real enough or long enough, or curly enough.
