Yeah, I think that would be a bigger crowd pleaser than a CG Christopher Reeve or Lynda Carter. Arnold Freeze would be the ultimate though, lol.
You just made me think of something.

People were complaining about how WB was stupid because they “ruined” the Zod surprise appearance. That they should have followed NWH model and not show anything.

Maybe they spoiled Zod because he’s small potatoes compared to what they didn’t spoil. Maybe there is an even bigger surprise coming.

I'm not a huge fan of Keaton or his batman, but the online trailer looks awesome to me.
Miller looks great as his goofy self with some new pathos added, I like the look of Supergirl (why all the aggressive comments about her looks?) and what little I can gather about her backstory in this looks interesting, Zod being back is awesome (probably just a few minutes screen time, but still), Batfleck back... it looks great. And I'm not in it for the nostalgia of Keaton.
Also, Barry's motivation is spot on. Too bad they couldn't get the same actor to play his dad.

BTW, I've never read Flashpoint (or if I've read it I've forgotten), so this is all new to me.

Agreed! Admittedly I haven't watched either of the JL films (or BvS for that matter) but this one's looking like it'll pique my interest. I've watched both '89 and Returns and liked Keaton in his roles, and while I didn't grow up with those films it'll be interesting to see him return as well as the premise of the mingling of all these characters. While I do agree Superman himself should have been part of this I'm welcome to the idea of Supergirl's introduction, and I also do think she looks pretty cool.

Should have made Keaton into Batman Beyond.

Man, a full on Batman Beyond movie with Keaton would be fantastic! Before, I would've liked KC to be the older Bruce Wayne, but unfortunately that is no longer possible with his passing yesteryear.. Of course, Keaton would also be great in it!

[...] she even has Brie Larson's "flying face."

I could watch this gif all day long :love :love

If Bale makes his cameo this movie will then be huge.

Can you think of any other seal-clapping moments for old people to drool over?

I can't imagine a more distracting, take-me-out-of-the-movie moment then these kinds of stunt-casted, nostalgi-buster movies.

This movie and NWH are basically a joke to be laughed at in 10 years looking back... they are the modern equivalent of Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein and Dracula, or more recently Alien vs Predator.

But Khev's right -- just make an entire movie with two idiots like Bill and Ted bumbling about, walking into Wayne Manor or Daily Bugle and running into all of recent history's pop phenomenon. It's total sandbox casting.

Where is my super-movie where Darth Vader's Empire teams up with Thanos and Blofeld to take out the world's greatest -- and oldest -- action heroes, led by Ford, Willis, Arnold, Stallone, recreated Bond Connery and Dirty Harry.

Yes. I can accommodate most plot contrivances but these are the first movies in history where I've needed a headcanon to strike them from. Nu Who may go that way too.

And I don't have a problem with multiverses per se, just come up with some original Spideys and Batses instead of cynically milking the nostalgia factor.

(Of course box office will say we're wrong.)

Bu..but..Keaton said, "I'm Batman" ...

Also, I bet CGI Ledger Joker shows up and says, "I'm Joker", and does a cool superhero landing.

Do yourself a favor and watch MoS, the BvS Ultimate Edition and ZSJL.
I think you will enjoy them, and they will certainly give more weight to whatever is going to happen in The Flash.

MoS was solid in spite of a couple of odd choices. The other two were almost wholly forgettable for me. All I really remember is Batman Bat-murdering and something about sweater sniffing.
Batman's murdered a few times in films (mainly Burton's) so it's nothing new, although shooting at a truck and blowing it to hell is a new one. My biggest hell-no from BvS is Superman saying "Nothing stays good in this world!" Like, WT actual F?!?! I get it was supposed to be an 'arc' and he comes back from the dead all reinvigorated and hopeful, but save that kind of stuff for when the Joker kills Lois or something.

Yeah, historically Batman has killed, so I wasn't shocked. Even when he crushed someone's head with a crate (I think that's what happened). The warehouse set-piece is actually a lot of fun, I'll give it that.

Yea I didn’t have a problem with Batman killing at all. It was just all this bloated nonsense that popped up like doomsday for example . Lol like where tf did u come from?

Lex and Zod got jiggy in the Krypton ship and Zod gave birth to himself as a monster baby.

I didn't mind any of the Bats stuff. It was Clark in MoS letting is Dad die. Yeah that's TOTALLY not in character IMO.

Half the world was rejecting him. The other half thought he was a God. He feels like he doesn't belong.
His girlfriend had just been thrown off a skyscraper. His mother has been gagged and tortured.
He has to either kill Batman or he dies or his mother dies. His hand is being forced into an impossible situation. He has no choice but to beg the guy that wants him dead or kill him. He's being forced to be bad.
In my opinion, it's reasonable to feel hopeless in an impossible situation.

I think it's such a shame that because it's Superman we can't see him tested to his limit, hit rock bottom and then bring it back.
