After getting the Blurgg recently I’m more convinced than ever they’ll do Jabba. Showing off that Throne Dias for the BoBF throne and not releasing it with anyone so far feels like a tease now.

I think removable helmet Vader was the most likely candidate but either they’ll release the Kenobi version quickly or they may hold off until later to do the Jedi version as to not risk sales of the Kenobi version. Usually the previous version sells out before they release another Vader.

I wonder if we’ll get a Bespin/Endor Han deluxe pack that could cover his looks from ESB, Jabba’s palace, and Endor with a few jacket, vest and shirt swaps. After the deluxe Cad Bane and Mace Windu that kind of an offering seems more plausible than it would have before.

Kidding or not, I’d buy that dirty portly figure all day. It’d be nice to have some secondary characters ^_^ lol
Portly.. How things have changed. Didn’t they just used to call a fat person a fat person eg. Fat lady dancer in the palace. I’m sure she wasn’t offended

My wish list is simply Vader, Endor Han, General Lando, and OT R2 & 3PO

Out of those I think Vader is the only lock. Re-releases of Luke and Palpatine wouldn't surprise me (both with the now standard movable eyes and Luke with the USB lightsaber).

A re-release/minor upgrade Boba Fett seems like an easy option as well. Beyond that I guess it depends if we're looking at ESB 40th or AOTC 20th. If they do Han then I think they will also do a new Chewie to go with him.

I would love for Hot toys to start showing what they are going to reveal for the ROTJ 40th this week.
It definitely needs.to.be up there or surpass the offerings they have done for AOTC!!!

I doubt it to be honest. AOTC had many characters without figures. ROTJ already has many main characters in the HT line. Crossing out slave Leia and Han Solo, you're looking at reissues or version 2.0 for most.

I’d be happy with those also. I don’t expect much. Hot toys is seriously neglecting the ot for last several years and I think we can expect a few reissue figures, like boba, Luke and endor leia speeder bikes, and maybe jabbas palace R2.
As for new
Rotj vader (must have the Shaw sculpt)
General lando
Leia boushh
I don’t know if hot toys will do Gammo guards, bib, ackbar, or aliens.
And han and Chewbacca, well…

Full reveal Vader and Endor Han... Maybe another Chewie. Nien Numb would be cool too (though I wouldn't be sad if HT released Emperor 2.0 either.

It’s so exciting to think we might get something on the level of the AOTC 20th for the OT. Don’t see why not tbh. If only they’d made more of an effort with ESB, such a shame. While ROTJ is probably my least favourite (I still adore the film) of the OT it’s my favourite for character designs.
It would be amazing if that happened...but going based on what they did for ANH 40th and ESB 40th I have tempered my expectations to be about the same as those. A few repacks and maybe two new ones. But I would be so happy if they went all out and gave us something like AOTC20. I would be extremely happy if they even did a fraction of what they did for that in terms of new figures.

Just hoping that the AOTC 20th signals a change of mindset from Hot Toys and that they choose this approach going forward. It appeared to go down really well selling in waves rather than their drip drop approach with ESB. It certainly got the community talking. It’s almost like the ESB 40th was testing the waters. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed because ROTJ is so figure worthy with one of the most diverse selection of characters.

Some big anniversaries coming up in the next few years so it’s a great time for them to be getting in on the action.

2024: The Phantom Menace 25th
2025: Revenge of the Sith 20th
2026: Rogue One 10th
2027: A New Hope 50th
Oh and The Last Jedi 10th 😛 😂

HT and Lucasfilm is just counting the minutes until that ROTS anniversary. Going to be a big money maker for a ton of companies.

Come on already, haven't been this excited about Hot Toys Star Wars for a long long time. Add the TPM 25th in 2024 and ROTS 20th in 2025 and we'll be feeding well on George Lucas Star Wars figures for the next few years... hopefully.

Those prequel figures really reignited my enthusiasm. The anakin looks stellar and to actually get main characters people asked for was shocking. I’m more of an ot guy, but I appreciate the prequels so I’m in for all. But this 40th line is what I’m truly excited about. I’ll probably grab any rotj figures, but I’m hoping for a Sebastian Shaw Vader and a Han. Wishful thinking but with Indy coming up, maybe we get a miracle…

Harrison Ford seems to be everywhere atm. He doesn’t seem to be too picky with what he’s doing either. He has the same bored expression in everything. He must need a bit of cash, so maybe now is the time for those Han figures after all.

Harrison loves money. I don't think he's a guy who needs money because he's short of cash, but he does like flying and traveling and has expensive hobbies overall, so he always wants more money. He said on Jimmy Fallon that he came back to Star Wars because they offered him a ton of money, which seems like a very humorous joke and probably was, but there probably was a bit of truth to it knowing that Mark Hamill is on record saying he was shocked Harrison came back.

I'll never forgot when Harrison did that commercial in Japan plugging Uncharted - dude had cleared never actually played a PlayStation before. There was no shot he knew what he was doing. The guy just loves money and I'm sure that's why he's willing to do anything and everything on screen these days.
