1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

Given how far removed we are now from Andor, and with Mando back next month, I legitimately feel like Hot Toys are going to skip Andor and the next figure we see announced (barring maybe another member of the Bad Batch) will be from Mando.

Hot Toys are so weird with their releases, and I think we should have a focus on Ant-Man starting next week, maybe even this week, but I think any changes of a huge focus on Andor has ended, and if anything, collectors should be happy if we get just Cassian.

BoBF had most of their figures go up months after the show ended, that is the only solace I think we have, but Boba and Cad Bane are guaranteed good sellers, no one from Andor really is.

Probably only Cassian.

And if majority is like me, they'll wait for Rogue One outfit.

I am guessing Andor version Clone Trooper since they already teased it

Yep. No interest in the show version. I just want the rogue one look.

I'd be wholly interested in a show figure if Rogue One didn't exist, but I'd really like the Rogue One look as well to pair with Jyn and Chirrut. Huge missed opportunity by Hot Toys to not have a Rogue One figure go up while Andor was airing, and to then do a show Cassian when season 2 aired. I'm sure there would be people who'd double dip with how good the show is.

I just want Luthen Rael from the show, but that feels like a hopeless dream at this point.

Give me Luthen, Saw, and Two Tubes from season 1, I’m okay to wait for Cassian.

Definitely my preferred choice but as I had previously mentioned some time ago, at this point, I would take the first Cassian Andor figure that Hot Toys were to release. I don't trust them to return to this character.

Maybe that's why they're holding off? They expect to do him in that outfit for season 2? Probably not, but it makes about as much sense as anything else with Hot Toys.

Ok who wants Rex out of armor, seeing him on TBB makes me really, really want him in that most intricate outfit and that poncho/cape, would definitely buy.

It is a cool outfit. Not a figure I think they'd make and if they make another Rex, we need a Phase 1.

But maybe a fun custom to attempt and a good use of a spare Rex head.

I want a Phase 1 Rex/Cody before the TBB Rex and Cody.

Saying that, the 2 episodes of TBB today was fantastic, and shows how good the show can be, we need less of "weekly runs for Cid" and more political intrigue like this and how the galaxy really is shifting from the Republic to the Empire.

I’m wondering if the lack of Andor figures is because they are all invested in working on season 2 atm and don’t have the time to approve their likenesses etc. And there aren’t many unique troopers (from memory) that they could do.

I think it's because Hot Toys have too much on their plate and don't give a ****.

It's a shame because I hadn't been that excited for the next episode of a show since Mr Robot ended.

The Bad Batch is officially going to be fully completed as a squad by Hot Toys.

Really a shame that Rogue One didn't get the same treatment. What I wouldn't have given for Cassian and Baze. Hell, I would have even gotten Melshi I loved that movie so much.

Speaking of Cassian, now that Hot Toys has worked their way through The Bad Batch and Kenobi show, I wonder where they go next for Star Wars. Really hoping the Cassian show gets 2-3 characters, but if not, what's next? Some more Clones from The Clone Wars? Characters from Tales of the Jedi? Bad Batch Rex? Visit a few OT characters for the 40th anniversary of ROTJ?

Feels wide open right now.

I honestly thought we would of gotten Cassian at least at this point, Hot Toys is weird (like their Eternals figures and when those were previewed and put up)and it might come sometime in the next few months, I'm just not too confident in that happening.

I think you nailed it though, a mix of TCW, ROTJ and some surprises here and there. I don't think ROTJ will have a huge event like AoTC did last year, but I'm hoping we get at least 3 or 4 figures that aren't rehashes.

General Kenobi was such a surprise earlier this year (I still go look at the preview pics), so hopefully we are pleasantly surprised with a few figures this year we weren't really expecting.

I don't know about the release date of Andor S2 but Tech is said to be Q2-Q3 of 2024. If Andor S2 comes out in the later part of the year we still have a quarter of releases for HT to announce that can include Cassian. Assuming HT want to release him during S2. I don't know about the other characters but they should be able to reuse the Cassian and Luthen sculpts.
