Now seeing the Soosoo toys version makes me want Buzztoys even more now! Hopefully not much longer to wait

Any update on when this will get released? There's been a lot of push backs on what seems like every date... somewhat hard not to lose confidence. I've had this on pre order for over a year now, at this point just hoping this isn't one of those companies that just takes the money and runs. From what I've heard you know the guys developing this figure so was hoping you might know something.

Yeah, at this point I'm tempted to cancel & take store credit. February is my established personal cut-off if we don't hear something encouraging.

I'll be the first to admit I'm thinking about cancelling, but that's not because of the delay, it's because the SooSoo one looks pretty solid. I really don't think you guys need to cancel because it hasn't been released yet. One of the most reputable and well-informed members of these boards knows the guy who is leading this project, and I doubt he'd feed us false information when he's done nothing but look out for the good of collectors here.

We were last told it would release after the Lunar New Year ended - let's see what happens in the next week or two before we hit the panic button. I'm sure all these delays have been due to improving the figure.

I thought ppl have learned that we all just have to…… wait for releases. Same thing for hot toys

People are increasingly impatient with every release, I see it even more on Facebook groups. Delays in the collecting hobby are nothing new, always been a thing in the 1/6 world. Every other new post is someone asking for updates, if there was an update, don't you think it would be posted already?

For what it's worth, the lack of communication in this hobby really doesn't help much. Outside of Limtoys and Asmus, it's hard to know what's going on with most of these brands. I think that certainly contributes to a lot of the frustration, but that said, people just complain about everything now. Over the last 4-5 years, and particularly over the pandemic, the amount of complaining that people have started to do is just unparalleled. Every hobby, form of entertainment, sport, whatever, people are just so negative and complain. Internet culture is really killing society.

While I agree people do complain a lot!! I think the main issue in the particular case of this figure. Is that Buzztoys is a new sub company with absolutely zero reputation and no previous releases to speak of. Unlike similar companies like Inart who are only now breaking into the 1/6 market with a bang, Buzztoys have not made any effort to update customers about their debut figure whatsoever since taking preorders what seems like forever ago.

The fact that Buzztoys is only a subsidiary company doesn't inspire a lot of confidence from new customers when many sub companies in the past have been known to take on pre orders in huge numbers and never deliver on the product. Not to say that this is the case here but it definitely contributes to the anxiety everyone is feeling about this piece.

It was a very anticipated figure for most Witcher fans, and before Soosoo announced their particularly great looking piece it was the only Cavil Geralt we were going to get. I think to have any real chance of getting this figure now they will have to release it before Soosoo does theirs. Soosoo has a great reputation and they're known to deliver on time.

So i completely understand why people are getting a bit testy with Buzztoys and this release. I have no problem wating on my preorder but hearing a scrap of news about it would be nice.

I wish I could cancel bc the soosoo toys version looks better perhaps I could find an awesome custom head

To be fair not even I know that much about the progress I've only seen some pictures of mass produced stuff in the factory and the last info I got was that it will release after CNY but we'll see.

Anyway I don't really understand what's the big controversy behind no updates or communication from unlicensed brands when up until last year not even most official brands communicated with the community, even then I've constantly asked for updates on this figure and shared them here but if you don't want to wait you can try refunding or just not pay for the rest of the deposit, nobody is forcing anyone to get this or any other figure for that matter and if anyone prefers the Soosoo version then go for it it looks cool as well.

Hey...so uh...

How did the portrait look?

If I waited as long, waiting for few more months doesn't really matter. Figure isn't cancelled, that's what matters. I don't think Soo Soo one looks better, they look so different I can't really compare them. It's like when 2 different artists draw the same person. Both of them look good imo. I like the body proportions on this one more tho,lets see how the final thing looks, Soo Soo one gonna look more or less same, they don't change protos much.

You get it when you get it, don't really see why it matters how long it takes. If a delay is enough to make you lose interest then did you really want it that badly to begin with? Sure it's frustrating but it's hardly the end of the world.

Usually HT releases take 3 years now at times with delays in between. This is another one of those in the hobby so it's normal (it shouldn't be but it is, I hope InArt finally changes that) but it will for sure release before SooSoo version does. I'll be happy with both figures as they both look like Cavill as Geralt enough for me to be satisfied with them.

Way I see it is. If you're satisfied with waiting for your order that's great. If you're feeling anxious about your order and feel that you may want to cancel that's fine too. But c'mon guys, I think we've all heard enough, we've all explained our view a dozen times at this point. It would be wonderful to see some updated photos or know a scrap of information about this release, but Buzztoys hasn't brought out any figures prior to this and until it comes out we're not going to know anything new.

What do y'all say we change up the vibe in this thread and post something different for a change? Be nice to hear about how people plan to display their Geralt when he arrives, maybe see some of people's shelves or customs while we all wait? Anything other than the next person repeating themselves about how long they've waited and how close to cancelling they are

I completely agree with you. It really pisses me off seeing the thread get bumped thinking it’s news or something positive but instead it’s the same complaining and talking about cancelling their order. Just cancel no need to come here explain your reasonings lol. With that being said I cannot wait for this absolute beauty! Might just display him one sword drawn and the other sheathed on his back to look closer to the game
