I hope pop toys really continues with the line with subzero, their scorpion is premium stuff.
 
Caved in and ordered him on ebay.

I came back to this figure every day last few days...i know that this was a clear sign even though i havent even watched this movie just played the old game...lol but it looks so cool and well made

The movie was good at least in my opinion. Nothing special or ground breaking. But definitely an awesome time it has a lot of reference to the games. And the fights are cool, the fights with Scorpion and Sub-Zero is some of the best.
 
Should i watch the old 1995 and 1997 movies first?
Or the 2020 one before watching 2021 MK?

You don’t need to. Completely unrelated.

That said, the 1995 movie is still a rockin’ good time and still a legit fun film. The 1997 film is a cheesy so-bad-it’s-good disaster though, and the MK shorts are just quick and weird “what if” stories.
 
Any idea if anyone will still get this one in? Looks like it’s still trickling in stock in places and would love to not pay eBay prices if it may still land at retail. Kicking myself for missing this!

Happy to see more reissues in this hobby - too bad for me who bought this figure for $100 more off ebay end of last year lol
 
Had a lapse where I was dragging my feet all day today on my invoice too but came home and the movie was on and yeah, Scorpion was cool as hell in it and I need this. Paid for my invoice then and there:lol

What exactly was improved on these version 2’s again?

I'm not sure anything has been improved tbh, but there are a couple upgrades I plan to do if they aren't already done

Foot ropes need to be dyed black, the shoulder pads are too flaccid, I'm hoping there's a way I can bunch them up and get them more bulky, but theyre attached to the chest piece so I'm not too sure, either way, I'm excited for this.

Character was badass as hell in the movie and is an icon, still need to get the Storm one.
