He means Ben Affleck's Bat, which Snyder based off Miller's Bat.
Yup, that. 👆
I know the Affleck suit is only loosely based on the Miller comics version, but it's probably going to be the closest live-action Frank Miller style Batman that we'll ever get. Shame too, the comic was awesome. Would have made a great live-action movie.

Oh man, i made a preorder of rooted Bruce about 3 days ago at Toyswonderland (i know...:slap), so I cancelled the order right now to make a new one at OSK. What is your experinece guys, should I expect any problems with getting my money back from them?
We are in the same situation. Their cancelling policy states that you can get full refund to your payment method if you cancel within their grace period (30 days). So now let's just wait they honor their own terms & conditions.

Wish it came with wrapped hands.

Kind of glad the 'ALL IN' set isn't there - I know I would have caved and asked to upgrade and I really can't afford it.

The main dilemma I’m going to have with this figure is how to display it. Obviously the rooted hair sculpt is a lot of the draw, but I’ll probably want to display him with the cowl. I suppose I’ll just change it every so often.

That's essentially why I'm teetering on ordering a second sculpted figure; I'll give one the rooted, un-cowled head, remove the cape and maybe fix up some custom wrapped hands to have him holding the cowl and then have a fully costumed Batman standing by the Batsignal in a more heroic pose.

If you have a Bruce Wayne ordered, then there is no reason to have Batman without cowl really (except for those who want multiple Bats).

So, in truth, you could order the even less expensive sculpted Batman set (the Standard $380) that way you have a sculpted haired version of Wayne, and also get the Premium rooted Bruce Wayne (also $380) to have a rooted head. Best of both worlds for $760 total.

I now have the All In rooted package and a standard Batman on order (plus the Hot Toys deluxe deluxe which won’t even come out of the shipper before I put it on eBay.)
What even am I now?!

Yeah, in some ways I feel like that may have been the better route to take, but at the same time I feel like if I’m going in one of these the rooted hair is a lot of what’s sparking my curiosity. I don’t intend to buy a Pattinson Bruce Wayne. Nice looking figure but I just don’t need it.

Can Inart please give us an Adam and Eve with garden of Eden diorama, apple tree and serpent? Eve with a Raquel Welch type body and Adam, I don't really care what type of body. Oh, and leaves to cover their nakedness as an option. I'll play both the serpent's and God's part as I read from the Bible. I'll get a real kick out of tempting and then chastising the disobeying couple.;)

TDKR is probably my favorite comic ever, and I agree it would be pretty cool to see a live action take, but it would be pretty impossible.

For example, batman changes size from one panel to the next, he is old and frail in one panel with a baggy suit, then a few panels later he is superman level muscular.

I think carrie kelley would also be problematic since she is 15(?) and running around with a 55ish old billionaire. It has a weird optic I dont think non-batman fans would be OK with.

But the real problem would simply be comparisons to the comic. I thought Snyder's watchmen was good, but some scenes are cut out and slow motion fight scenes are inserted that make it look like some of them have super human abilities, which they shouldnt have. Specifically the alley fight with silk spectre and night owl vs the thugs. Plus the ending is altered. But it seemed like comic fans didnt care for the film overall.

But Hollywood’s favourite thing to do now is inserting a young, female sidekick to have them outshine, outsmart, upstage, and educate the crusty, old, male legacy lead on why they are no longer necessary or suitable for modern times. TDKR is perfect material!

The very concept of a child/teen Robin is a little deranged and was purely implemented in the comics to give kids someone more relatable to identify with.

The writers at the time definitely weren’t thinking about how Batman, a man who was victimised as a child and made fully aware of his own helplessness and powerlessness- which lead him to train relentlessly for a decade before going out into the streets to level the playing field and ensure that no child ever suffered the loss he did again- would then dress a child in a colourful, bullet-magnet costume and have them accompany and assist with his war against violent criminals, mob bosses, corrupt police and psychopathic villains.
Bruce empathising with a kid because they've also lost their parents- like Dick- and attempting to 'help' by doing the only thing Bruce knows how is one thing. Training them as he trained, giving them a purpose and goal on which to focus their rage makes sense but he absolutely shouldn't be taking kids out into a war zone.
He'd make them walk the same path he took and not let them anywhere near a costume until they hit 18 at least.
Train, educate, travel, and then return a fully formed adult who's making the choice for themself.

I'd just like to know, when did the optics of an older male mentor become something 'problematic?' There's Doc and Marty, Indy and Short Round, Karate Kid, every movie ever about a kids' sports team with the male coach- if it's ok because they're boys, how about Buffy and Giles, where he's knowingly sending a 16-year-old girl into dangerous situations, Eleven and Hopper, even more recently was Dr Strange and that portal girl, Hawkeye and Kate Bishop (they're a few years older) and now we have Joel and Ellie on The Last of Us. Is it because he's rich? He's Batman for God's sake!!
Strong mole role models and father figures are a good thing. Letting the ideologues who espouse otherwise remove them from media isn't going to do anyone any favours.

They could easily make CK an 18 year old but then there actually could be some potential for sexual tension so, however you do it, someone will find a way to insert their beliefs and cry foul play about something.

Unless your baseline view of all older men is that they are inherently up to no good and are potential child molesters, I don't see why it would be an issue. People viewing the world that way are far more problematic.

Remember this scene-

Yikes, keep your hands to yourself, filthy old perv! Did he even get consent to touch her body?! White saviour male privilage at it's finest.
